Green area (garden) very beautiful with flowers, palms, birds, that relaxes you and makes you happy. Very good food with the variety of fish, seafood and fruits - congratulation to Master Chef !!! Big pools with nice view to Atlantic ocean. Superb, relax and nice entertainment.

Didn't feel reception staff was willing to listen or make any adjustments on request. Not enough sockets on rooms to charge phones etc A bit noisy room facing the road where there was live music. I didn't think to ask reception for a room change as they were quite dismissive on another request to upgrade.

We stayed here during covid in 2021 booked through a 3rd party booking service. We felt more welcomed then and we even got an upgrade at the time. This time because we loved it so much we booked again. Unfortunately I booked a standard room which was different from the one we had last time. We asked at reception kindly if we could upgrade and pay the difference. The receptionist looked puzzled and even annoyed at an innocent question - we didn't ask it to be free and we were willing to pay. We were dismissed quickly and we felt really awkward about it... Everyone else was nice, some staff at the breakfast don't seem to speak Portuguese and that can be a bit annoying since we are in Portugal and my older mother for example doesn't speak English... The room is ok, carpets make it a bit hot and personally would prefer wooden floors for hygiene. The toiletries are fantastic from Rituals. The pools are fantastic, clean. The outdoor smaller one is quite cold but the weather was cloudy ao maybe that was why.

Evening buffet was a bit expensive, but ala carte restaurants were reasonable and there were many good restaurants within walking distance

Fantastic pool and garden areas, great breakfast buffet, comfortable room, and terrific location. Easy access to coastal cliff path and lots of restaurants nearby. 5-10 minute taxi to Funchal old town. Staff were friendly and efficient. Whole family had a great time. Cannot recommend more highly

Big Cage in the middle of the pool area with parrots. There is no need for that. Release them. Coffee was not great during the breakfast time. Had to pay extra for cappuccino.

3 different pillow sizes,breakfast, cleanliness of the hotel, location,quality of the bathroom products . Room view. Music every evening was fantastic. Bed size massive.

no food available whatsoever to ppl who arrive after 10.30pm, no room service, not even snacks in the mini bar :') not many options of food at the buffet restaurant on dinner time

The windows weren’t glazed well enough to insulate noise from the street outside.

Amazingly large room with a bathroom and a separate shower room and a kitchen. All in excellent condition. The dinner at the Portuguese restaurant was amazing. The breakfast was also top notch. I loved sitting on the loungers looking out at the sea (until some fellow brits came along and lit up next to me). The gardens were beautiful with colourful exotic flowers. The only real minus point was that I had an external facing room and there was a lot of echoing noise from music in the surrounding street. I hadn’t realised that Madeira has such a lively nightlife these days! I was so glad that I remembered my ear plugs, because I was feeling really tired and needed an early night.

Next time we would like to spend more time at the hotel to use all the facilities. Beautiful swimming pools with clean water. Rich breakfast. Very nice garden where was pleasure to stay during the evening.

I did not like the fruit juices at breakfast. They were way too artificial, with added water, sweetener and probably more. Also, the "sea wiew" was disappointing compared to the many spectacular spots in the island.

I really liked the tropical garden, the very comfortable bars and poolsides. Staff had an excellent behaviour. The restaurants are also high standard and buffets are huge.

The view was splendid from the room. The room was very nicely set up, the cleaning was done as we requested. Breakfast was diverse.

We opted for a room with a sea view but the views from the rooms with a pool/garden view were much better. One small niggle - a freshly made coffee in the morning would have been nicer than the coffee pots.

The gardens and pool area were wonderful and very clean. The breakfast was delicious with plenty of choice.

Some bartenders, both in the bar by the pool and inside the hotel, do not know how to properly make the cocktails they have on offer, this disappointed me very much and I had to complain. Ugly old dryer on the terrace.

Almost everything was fine, the food was excellent, the staff was helpful, the receptionist was wonderful in the morning upon departure.

Coffee perculator in room but you had to buy filters and coffee, needs updating to a nespresso and a couple of pods provided a day and then you could buy your own. Two of the front desk people were very abupt and grumpy and it would have been good to be met by the porter when you arrive

Breakfast was amazing, outside areas full of beautiful flowers and lots of choices of areas of sunbeds, room was great with a balcony and well equipped do be a bit more self catering, close to everything including bus stops and a great laundry up the road for people like us who are travelling for a long period

the room and halfway carpet is looking worn out needs to be replace. the waiters at breakfast most of them don't even smile. not like the last time I stayed 4 years ago. don't know if they are overwhelmed with the amount of work and people everyday. the front desk is the opposite! very welcoming!!

beautiful hotel the grounds are beautiful. our room was spacious with a balcony. awesome views of the garden and ocean. the breakfast was great everything one needs is there. the front desk hospitality was great very helpful. we had an issue with our car rental and they really stepped up to help with a smile!
