the restaurant is not to the standard of the rest (accommodation, breakfast); it´s more like fast-food type restaurant with pizzas and hamburgers. a more refined cuisine would be welcome (that´s why we never had diner at the hotel but in nearby restaurants).

prime location right in the harbour, giving the opportunity to watch cruising vessels dock and leave which is quite a show. centrally located with a wide choice of restaurants within walking distance on both sides of the hotel (east and west). nice swimming pool with plenty of sunbeds to soak the sun while watching the port activity. the decoration of the lobby is nice and young, buffet breakfast is very good and offer a wide choice of things.

Outside looks very tired Inside was very clean but rooms very basic Air on not very good at all so had door open all night and cruise liner generators running all night , not good ! Pool area not so good, the furniture old and tired, needs replacing !

The staff were amazing, can't say enough about them. They came to rescue after we had a problem with other accommodation. Great location. Nice to have roof top pool. Used the outdoor gym. Good cocktails. very good value for money. I would return.

Everything was good.

The property is well appointed, with easy access to Funchal. The cruise ships moored directly opposite the hotel, so that makes an interesting outlook. We were very impressed with the front desk staff, in particular Mikaela. We had a problem with our TV and she was relentless in pursuing a solution to make sure it was resolved. She really went over and beyond the call of duty. Thank you Mikaela.
