Wow, where do we even begin? We were fortunate enough to snag a last-minute booking, and from the moment we arrived, we were completely blown away. The service was nothing short of impeccable, and the apartment itself was beyond perfect—spacious, modern, and equipped with all the amenities you could possibly need. The air conditioning in the bedroom was a dream, and having a washing machine on hand was a bonus. Plus, the room service from the restaurant below made everything even more convenient. The location was unbeatable—right in the heart of the city with free parking in the basement. But the real showstopper was the rooftop! With a stunning cocktail bar and an incredible rooftop pool offering panoramic views of the city and the ocean, it was pure magic. The Friday night jazz entertainment, paired with expertly crafted drinks, made the experience even more special. The staff’s attention to detail and friendly service made our stay unforgettable. We honestly couldn’t recommend this place more highly—it’s an absolute must-stay!

That the hotel wasn't free.

Three House Hotel lived up to my expectations. It was a pleasure to stay in a well furnished, thoughtfully stocked kitchen with a grocery store directly across the street. The staff were friendly, engaging and accommodative. For two weeks I felt like I lived and belonged in this beautiful city of Funchal. Many, many thanks for accommodating me at a great hotel.

Everything was amazing!

I cannot say enough good things about our stay. The concierge was amazing, upon check-in she walked us to our suite, and showed us around the apartment and the facilities. The rooftop pool has the best views of the water and city. All of the facilities were spotless. Loved the water dispenser with sparkling water! They have a free shared washer/dryer which came in handy for our trip. The parking is right under the hotel and is included in the price. Everything was wonderful.

There was not enough sun beds or umbrellas for those who wanted them, and the bar drinks were expensive too.

The room was great with a large and comfortable bed while being well stocked. There was a great pool too. Location was perfect for exploring Funchal and the receptionist was lovely.

Check-in was very smooth and efficient and our very friendly and courteous receptionist kindly took us on an extended tour of the hotel facilities whilst sharing with us the history of madeira - we were very grateful for his time and this made our stay very special. The rooms were spacious, clean, comfortable and well-decorated and came with complimentary daily pastries which staff left at our door. The hotel had great amenities including the rooftop pool and bar, which had incredible views. It was also situated in a central and convenient location. We couldn't recommend this place more!

Parking is a little tricky... But the staff warned us in advance and were very helpful.

We absolutely loved our stay at Three House Hotel! The staff went above and beyond, with excellent communication and tips before and during our stay - the service in general was exceptional. The rooms were super nice, airy and spacious (with great views) and had everything you could need. The hotel's facilities were great too, with a lovely rooftop pool and an excellent restaurant on-site (the food was delicious!). We also really enjoyed the pastries/bread in the morning. The location was ideal for exploring Funchal. I would love to come back here in the future and wouldn't hesitate to recommend it! It was the perfect way to start our Madeira trip.

Service is very good. Comfortable, clean and nice room. Everyday your appartement is cleaned. Nice surprises to welcome you and when you leave. The swimmingpool area is chill and you can lounge there perfectly

I liked everything!

Our apartment was a one bedroom and it was huge! 84m2 with everything you could want. Beautifully decorated. Smeg appliances, fruit bowl with fruit on arrival, cold water and a welcome, personalized note. Pastries delivered daily to our door! Amenities fantastic! Rooftop bar and pool with amaaaaazing views and always something happening later in the evening. Free popcorn and water when you go up to the rooftop to swim or relax for residents. Service and staff fabulous! Great restaurant on the 3rd floor with great food! Washing machine and free filtered water on the floor which you could use anytime. They even give you detergent. Oh and coffee pods doe the Smeg coffee machine is topped up daily!

We stayed for a week at the hotel and loved it.

The property was located in the centre of Funchal. The accommodation was set out like an apartment so we had a separate lounge/kitchen/diner together with a bedroom and bathroom. The hotel had laundry facilities for guests as well as a wonderful restaurant and a rooftop bar with swimming pool. The latter offered wonderful views over the city. There was also a gym. Whilst the hotel facilities are wonderful, it was the staff who made our stay exceptional. Without exception the staff were warm, friendly, courteous and capable. In particular, Sid’s advice ensured that we saw the best of Funchal, ate at some wonderful restaurants and went on some fantastic trips.

Three House Hotel is right in the heart of Funchal and a perfect base for exploring. Staff were so welcoming on our arrival, sharing recommendations for hikes and restaurants across the island (which were all fantastic). The apartment was really well equipped, spotlessly clean & the morning pastries were a lovely addition. The rooftop cocktail bar is a gorgeous place to look over the city at night. Highly recommend.

We had a fantastic stay in the Three House Hotel. The appartment makes it feel like home (especially with a toddler), but at the same time we enjoyed the luxury of the beautiful swimming pool, rooftop bar and high quality food. The staff is very friendly, they communicate through Whatsapp with tips and tricks. Location is great to visit many highlights on the island. One evening there was a party on the rooftop, but they informed us on beforehand, offered us a free cocktail and our toddler didn't even hear a thing. Thank you!

The location couldn't have been more central, it is very close to all the attractions. The staff were very attentive and the room was cleaned daily to a very high standard. Pastries were delivered to your door every morning and I celebrated a birthday during my stay and a bottle of fizz was left in my room which was a very nice touch. I would very much recommend this hotel to family and friends
