The pool both in room and resort were FREEZING. To the point where the kids who usually don't care didn't want to get in. That really impacted our stay. The hotel is 20mins from Evora, just something to work into your overall plan, its not right next door.

Great stay with kids, so many cute little touches like a teddy bear in the room, robes in their sizes, a little table to draw on next to reception check-in, kids club etc - they've thought about it a lot. Good varied menu for kids and nice wood fire oven pizzas. The villa was perfect for staying with kids.

Lots of flies at dinner and breakfast - all over the food especially at breakfast/dinner buffet. This could be sorted by keeping doors to restaurant closed. It is probably not an issue a lot of the time but maybe just height of summer issue?

THE RESTAURANT! It’s most definitely not at Octant/À Terra standards! I’ve been to a few of the properties and by far this one is the most disappointing. The menu does not offer a lot of options, specifically at lunch/afternoon and pool time. At lunch time is absolute madness. The waiting time is unreasonable and the quality underwhelming! I’ve asked for a simple bifana… it took way too long for a small, tasteless and COLD sandwich to come. As much as the staff at the bar tried to help and make sure I would get my meal on time, the kitchen was taking way too long, messing up the orders and leaving some of the prepared ones in the corner waiting for too long (mine included). Dinner menu is ok, and the food was nicely prepared both times Ive eaten there - I’ve avoided the rush hour though. Having experienced the restaurants at other Octant hotels in Portugal, this is very disappointing!!

The hotel has nice facilities. Everything is in great condition, lots of options when it comes to the outside areas. Having a kids free zone at the pool is definitely a bless, since the hotel was packed with families. It can be a bit overwhelming for the guest who don’t share the same interests. The staff was absolutely delightful! As in most Octant hotels in Portugal, most of the team is composed of younger members, whom have been very helpful, caring and friendly throughout my stay. All of them, with no exception, have been great. I would like to give a special shoutout to Vitor, who was charismatic, kind, hardworking and always a good laugh! The rooms were impeccably clean and in good conditions. We were given all the amenities needed for a short stay.

Some areas have a bit of a hospital feel about them, clinical and cold corridors. The bedroom floors were a bit strange, like a plastic straw carpet.

Our only downside was the room we were given was next to the outdoor bins, not the most beautiful view and noisy on collection mornings. A shame really.

Beautiful spacious grounds with lots of little pockets of interest and beauty to admire or relax in. Lovely modern interior. Some outdoor areas didn’t seem open / were under construction (additional eating areas/ kids playground)? therefore would be great to go back to see the developments. Great to have the range of pools (adults/kids/indoor) especially for some peacefulness and when it was too hot outside!

Octant Hotel Évora exceeded our best expectations and definitely we will return. The villas with pool are excellent, specially if the weather is good (which was not the case). Nevertheless we had a good time in family. One recommendation is you must install fast chargers for electrical vehicles as in the surroundings there are any.
