Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. For properties in these regions, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

The room, although a little small was very comfortable and spotless. The front desk staff were wonderful - engaging, good humoured and extremely helpful. The glass of port on arrival was pretty good too.

The location was fantastic and we were able to walk everywhere. The check in process was easy, and they gave us local port at check in, which was a nice bonus as well! The rooms were nice and clean, and the beds were very comfortable.

MaltaI would have preferred a slightly larger room but then it sufficed for our 3-night stay.
Perfectly located near Rossio Train Station and close to the squares: Rossio and da Figueira. Also two Metro stations very close to the hotel. A few minutes away from Rua Augusta which leads to Praca do Commercio. However what tops it all is the staff. Extremely helpful and they go out of their way to assist. Of particular note was the sterling support given by reception Penelope. Undoubtedly an asset to the hotel. Hotel was very clean.
