We had a rough time checking. We were kept waiting outside for an hour before the check in instructions came (we had fulfilled their instructions but wasn't given the apartment code, and no one picked up the phone). We also realized later in our stay that there was an elevator hidden in a corner.. wish the host had told us as part of the check in instructions. The overall having no host, no one picking up the phone when we were left outside, the quality of the room.. made me regret not paying a bit more to stay at a hotel or elsewhere.

We loved the location. It was quiet and residential, a short walk from the beach and fantastic restaurants.

The walk in wardrobe, cupboard area needs to be better ventilated as it has a musty smell.

Bedrooms in a beautifully restored building, good location close to the beach and to public transport into the centre of Porto. An Uber taxi into the centre does not cost much & will get you there in 10 minutes. If you'd like to be away from the noise of the city centre, close to a cooler, sea breeze in a nice neighborhood, then this is the ideal place to stay. Breakfast was included and a very welcome surprise. There's a private courtyard with seating and tables outside for anyone who smokes. Free parking is available around the corner from the building, if you look out a bedroom window you will see the back street. For solo travellers, the single bedroom with a single bed #23 is great value

Rooms were nice and modern but didn’t have basics (such as bin or kettle) with very little space to unpack your clothes (only 4 hangers for double room) Breakfasts were very poor (few slices of ham and cheese per table, no cereal, eggs, toasts, vegetables provided). I found hair in butter as well

Our friends recommended this hotel to us and we were very pleased. Good value for money, helpful and friendly hosts. We had several requests and they were handled very flexibly. The hotel is in a very nice and stylish neighbourhood, a couple of minutes from the ocean, clean and comfortable. Breakfast was very good, we thank the hotel team very much for a great time in Porto.

Was not clear from booking it ,that it was up 4 floors of narrow poorly lit stairs . Also despite our accurate departure time being communicated to the owner , a cleaner arrived who was persisting on doing her job despite our efforts to tell her to come back at the appointed time . There was then some concern about was it the right cleaner or an imposter ! The owner apologised profusely which was good

Not very ideal for business travelers as e.g there is no desk to work at in the rooms. In some cases, it feels like design has won over practicality - e.g no light next to the bed, no trashcan in the room just in the toilet, not much space to unpack your stuff. Breakfast gets super boring after two days, some variety would be lovely to add.

This property is really nice, well-equipped rooms, comfortable bed, short walking distance to the ocean and to the bus that takes you to the centre of Porto. Host lady was also very welcoming (although she only speaks Portuguese which might cause communication problems if you don’t.) There is free fruit, tea, coffee and flavored water in the lobby at all times which was really nice.

I appreciated having a code to the front door to allow myself in as my flight was arriving very late in the evening, however everyone in the building had the same code and seemed very keen to assist in giving it out to other travellers which resulted in my room wrongly being given away to a random guest, and at times I felt unsafe seeing strangers being welcomed into the building without questioning their legitimacy of being guests.

Breakfast was a very nice treat, Irina (spell?) was extremely hospitable and helped me book a cab for my early morning departure to the airport.
