Could get rather cold at night due to local micro climate being cool and breezy, even in July.

Spacious, luxurious and well thought out cabin. Fabulous shower with plenty of hot water. Very clean and well maintained. Comfortable bed and very tranquil rural location

If I had to say something, then it would realy small unimportant things, but I would appriciate one more el. socket next to the bed and more shelves in bathroom. But it is really nothing that would hinder your stay.

This place absolutely exceeded my expectations. The cottages are absolutely amazing, cute, wonderful, choose :-) They have everything you need to comfortable living, the beds are harder, but the sleep is great. You can meet all sorts of animals around, really surrounded by nature. There is a great bistro 5 min walk. We really had a great stay.

Everything was great

Everything was amazing! The shelter was beautiful and the location was perfect (If you don't mind the steep drive up) really felt like you were in the middle of nature! Amazing walks nearby and the cafe 5 minute walk away was great! Dioclécio the host was so helpful! He even waited up really late for us as our flight was delayed then we had rental car problems! He was so friendly and understanding! We can't wait to come back and spend longer here! Thank you!

I loved the decor in the house it is so in tune with the environment. Location is great for all the hikes. Donkeys were super cute too. Loved that it is remote so you can see the stars at night.

The lodges are right up in the mountains but we had a car so no issue. Amazing walks on your doorstep and more 10 mins away. Nice and cool up in the mountains for sleeping. The host was very very helpful.

WOW! Beautiful modern wooden cabin in the middle of nowhere. Such a peaceful location, but not too far from Funchal if you want to get down (20-25 mins in a taxi) A range of lovely walks from the front door. Amazing shower. Able to stargaze at night. There’s a fantastic ‘snack bar’ just a few mins walk away with super friendly staff and a range of amazing poncha flavours. We can’t wait to go back next year!

Literally nothing. The stay was exceptional

The perfect escape location with exceptionally high standard facilities. The lodge is huge and beautiful in equal measure. The perfect place to explore the Madeiran mountains but also if you're exploring Funchal but keen to have some serene evenings. We were able to cook our own food but enjoyed the cafe restaurant only 5-10 minute walk away (which does amazing hot chocolate!). The host was friendly and helpful. Breathtaking scenery and amazing shelters! The shelters were very well-equipped and everything was harmonious. Even the cutlery had a bit of wood on it. Besides this, the host, Dioclécio, was super friendly and offered to help at any time. He advised me some trails to do in the Ecological Park, which I did. This was the best accommodation I’ve ever stayed in!

an amazing comfortable and spacious timber hut in a great location for walks in the protected natural Park. the owner/manager is super friendly and nice, would surely come back! a car is required to reach the destination.

We had the most amazing stay and Dioclécio (who runs the place) was incredibly helpful and kind. We travelled with our two small dogs - the cabins were perfectly dog-friendly, and we couldn’t have asked for a better location for hiking. All in all, excellent location, service and experience.

It was very well equipped for everything you could need for a few nights in the mountains. The setting was amazing and perfect if you want to get up early for the sunrise up high.

Honestly I cannot thhink of anything I didn't like. I do however wish the windows were bigger so that one could look at the stars since there is no street lights up there.

The location is perfect if you are looking for a more secluded off the grid well deserved break. IT's so beautiful in the mornings to wake up in nature and it's so peaceful at night to be up in the satrs. The cabins have everything you will need plus that extra cosy feel.
