We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.

United KingdomThe lady at the spa was very rude when we were looking for the indoor pool. I didn’t try any of the spa facilities as she was so rude. Indoor pool is small and bit at the door better signage would be good.
Loved the location. Great for walk into Funchal buses near by and hop on hop off bus. Hotel spacious and clean. Spa on offer snd three outdoor salt water pools with a fantastic view. Breakfast was excellent eggs cooked to order plenty of choice. Evening buffet good but liked the fact you had a credit yo try the other restaurants. Traditional Portuguese 🇵🇹 restaurant was great. Other options Italian or sushi but didn’t try them. Majority of staff friendly and helpful.

United StatesRooms need to have better air-conditioning and softer pillows. Another issue is only 2 usb ports and one wasn't working. At the dinner (I booked for half board, which includes breakfast and dinner), you need to pay for drinks, not just for alcohol but water and coffee as well, which I think is too much for 5 star hotel...but I would not rate it to high. They gave us a bottle of water in the room when we checked in, but after that it wasn't refreshed, when I asked the front desk, they told me that it's only for 1st day. For that money, it's not a 5 star hotel after that. Also, they have a teapot in the room, but not a coffee maker. If you need to do laundry, service at a hotel is very expensive, but in building #2, they have a washer and dryer. You can get tokens for 12 euros and 50 cents, but the drier never dried from 1st time, but the receptionist knows about that problem and always gives us extra tokens. Also, you can choose to have dinner at another 3 restaurants, but it's not free. You will have credit for 15 euros per person.
Location is walkable to downtown, shopping, and museum. Views are amazing - pools and ocean take your breath away. Staff multilingual and willing to help. The food is great, especially in the pool cafe. We tried Koi sushi restaurant, but personally, I don't like it, but everything was fresh. Lisboa bar is pretty good and has live music.

NetherlandsThe waiting time for an elevator (living on 8 floor) was too long. Same with the separate elevator to get to the pools level. Nice that hotel aims to make all info about the hotel and facilities available via app/online but too many details are still missing. Sockets on sides of the bed are hardly accessible - just underneath a wooden panel and behing a night stand. Shower (in the bathtub) could use some refreshment. Drinks at the dinner time are not included.
Good location: direct by the ocean, close to many restaurants and shops, bus stop nearby to get you to city centre Restaurants on the site: as vegan I was positively surprised with options I had to choose from Facilities: very nice outdoor infinity pools

United KingdomHotel building was renovated around 2012, so insides are a bit worn. If you are looking for luxury, this might not feel like it. But it was not a problem for us at all as all we needed was there.
Location, access to both pools and sea, we got a room on top floor giving us maximum view. Service and cleaning was great. At dinner and breakfast as well. Staff very attentive. Food quality and selection is amazing. Good mattresses, huge beds, great size of the room. Walking distance to center or Funchal.

Amazing buffet with many gluten-free options, very nice staff, great ocean view, beautiful garden, great big bed (2 meters wide with a nice hard mattress). Nice location in the city but not in the center so a bit more quiet. Free underground parking and baby cots - very much appreciated! Overall a very nice holiday resort. I fully recommend it and I will be back.

Very spacious with large balcony and sea views made for a very pleasant stay of 14 days. Only one complaint was the room next door smoking on the balcony which permeated our room. Having COPD and asthma it caused some irritation but luckily was on our last two days.

Room big enough having nice view to the sea. One of the few hotels having direct access to the sea. Good sport activity possibilities: guided classes, good gym with spinning classes, dive center, tennis court, billiard tables. Hotel has one sauna in the spa and one with indoor swimming pool. Saunas were ok though outdoor swimming pool sauna is for 3 - 4 person and its upper board is weak. I do not recommend 3 big guys at the same time sit there.
