The coffe was rather bitter could change to a better product.

Very spacious with large balcony and sea views made for a very pleasant stay of 14 days. Only one complaint was the room next door smoking on the balcony which permeated our room. Having COPD and asthma it caused some irritation but luckily was on our last two days.

Dinner is ok but definitely place for improvement. Portions from grill has way too much salt.

Room big enough having nice view to the sea. One of the few hotels having direct access to the sea. Good sport activity possibilities: guided classes, good gym with spinning classes, dive center, tennis court, billiard tables. Hotel has one sauna in the spa and one with indoor swimming pool. Saunas were ok though outdoor swimming pool sauna is for 3 - 4 person and its upper board is weak. I do not recommend 3 big guys at the same time sit there.

Continues to be a well run hotel. Peaceful. Very clean. Good variety of food. Guest Services always willing to help and provide good customer service. In walking distance and on bus route to Funchal.

The person in the room next to us was smoking on his balcony and the smoke came across to us and into our room.

The hotel is not a 5 star and you feel that even in the superior premium rooms which lack basic amenities like plugs next to your bed and light switches where they should be. The hotel does not offer drinks on half board, so you pay for everything including water as there aren't any filtered water supplies anywhere in the building or at meals. The food choices at dinner were limited and we chose to eat out more often as it was not very tasty. Lighting in the room was very dim with one ceiling light for the entire room and 2 lamps that did not turn on.

The facilities of the hotel are lovely and the staff are always happy to help. The beds were comfortable.

Some renovation is needed but your forget about it after few days.

Very tasty, various and constantly replenished food. A lot of fish ( the one with banana and passion fruit sauce was the best), seafood, fruits, cheese etc.. Good location with direct access to the ocean. Beautiful views from the rooms. Very attentive and polite Staff. Clean.

Booked three rooms. Third room not close by even though we requested it. It was suppose to be partial ocean view but they could not see the ocean. They only saw people that could look into their room on the third floor.

We missed basic drinks to be included at the dinner buffet. The mattress in the bed and the pillow were too hard and not so comfortable. We missed a soft topper, as we have at home.

The rooms were modern, with good light and breathtaking view. It was practical with a fridge in the room. The bathroom was spacious and comfortable with a bath tub. The pools were nice, with clean water and comfortable temperature. The sun-bed area was excellent, with free towel change at your convenience. We enjoyed the buffet very much. Delicious and tasteful food, but the themes of the dinner were a mystery to us, as the food didn't seem to comply so well with the theme. But who cares, when it's good anyway? The staff were really friendly, and followed up our request in a very good way. We loved our stay, and would like to come back.

You won't be hungry, but the food is very bland and not very tasty. The booklet for Ocean restaurant says that it's a different cuisine every night, but mostly it's the same food everyday. It's very unpleasant that the staff in the Ocean restaurant are always watching if you finished eating and run to take your plate while you're still eating the last bite. It was very awkward to eat and see them approach your table to look how much food you have in your plate. Italian restaurant - rude hostess who "welcomed" us, food is not very good and we ordered the smallest amount of Sangria, but they charged us for a large one (we saw it instantly, but decided to leave it on their conscience). The pool and the sunbeds are surrounded by concrete, so it's not very comfortable. The dishes of the pool are restaurant were dirty and old, the tray was rusty (5 stars indeed).

We are very thankful for the wonderful receptionist Clara, who is very kind and professional. Thanks to her we quickly adapted and started our holidays. Beautiful view from our balcony, comfortable beds, spacious rooms, very clean. Portugese restaurant - the food, the atmosphere, the vibes and the staff are all wonderful (you can go there as many times as you want, I'd recommend going there a few times). The pool. You could exchange wet pool towels to dry ones everyday or as frequently as you needed. Unlimited ice cream during dinner. Good parking, location. Nice lobby. Overall, the staff was nice except for the hostess in the italian restaurant.

We booked a family room because it was me, my partner and my mom. We thought it would be 2 separate rooms with a door that could be opened in between. It was one room with one bathroom and an extra bedroom in the room. The extra room had a tv and a smal closet underneath the tv. There wasn't any space to put my clothes so I had to put my clothes in my mom's part of the room. There were 2 big closets there. The room had a bit of a weird layout because 2 closets were really next to eachother in a corner which meant you could really reach into part of one of the closets. The outlets were also in weird places. In the big bedroom these weren't any next to the bed. There were a few behind one of the closets that you couldn't reach. The room really isn't bad but it needs to be a bit upgraded or renovated because it feels like it is in decline.

The facilities were very nice. There were 3 pools and you could swim in the ocean. The buffet was good, both the breakfast and dinner buffet. There was a different theme for dinner every night and if you wanted to, you could also eat in one of their restaurants instead. There was a good and big gym with classes but you did have to leave the hotel and go across the street to visit it.
