The stairs although fine for us wouldn't be suitable for people with mobility issues.

The accommodation is in a very convenient location close to a Metro station in the city centre. The owner of the property provided information on local places of interest. The building itself was a beautiful historic property with lovely old tiles on the walls of the staircase. The accommodation itself was very quiet, spotlessly clean and our bed was very comfortable. Lots of lovely touches.

I found the bed quite firm for my liking, but that's just a personal preference. My partner however slept very well. The wifi was a little slow and sometimes didnt connect but that didnt affect our stay. Apart from that, our stay was perfect.

Vanda was extremely helpful throughout our stay, especially during our check in when we arrived later than expected. We felt at home and welcome from the moment we arrived. The hotel is perfectly located in Lisbon's Baixa district and close to a lot of spots that you'll no doubt want to visit during your time in the city. Despite the location the rooms were extremely well sound proofed and street noise was not an issue at all.

This inn is so convenient, restaurants and shops just outside the door. The owner and the staff were very helpful. Small room but very comfortable bed and we had everything we needed. I would stay there next trip to Lisbon.

There was nothing I didn't like.

Beautiful room in a fantastic location. Room had a fridge, air-conditioning, hairdryer, tea and coffee facilities with water replenished daily, spacious shower room, very comfortable bed and lovely decor. Vanda the host and her team are really warm, kind and friendly. The room was always immaculate. Vanda provided lots of really helpful information including directions from the airport and places to eat and visit. On one afternoon, the best Pastèis de Nata were brought to my room as a treat. They were delicious. I had a wonderful five night stay. I loved the city, my trips to Cascais, Belem, Sintra and across the Tagus on the ferry to Cacilhas. There is so much to see and do. Downtown Inn is the perfect base. Close to the Metro, the train stations, the riverfront. So many restaurants and bars close by (zero noise due to the extra glazing). Vanda, thank you so much.

It would be nice if you didn't have to go upstairs with the luggage, but the building is beautiful, and they helped me carrying the bags!

The location of the Inn is just perfect! Room was on the small side but was very nicely decorated and very well equipped with fridge, tea, coffee, cream, chocolates.. The host and the staff couldn't be nicer and super helpful, gave me lots of tips on restaurants and other things.

Vanda and Daisy were excellent hosts, everyone was super friendly, the room was fantastic and there are a plethora of restaurants, bars, cafes and bakeries just outside the front door. If I return to Lisbon I will definitely stay again.

There are some stairs to the first floor which I was easily able to navigate with 2 bags.

The room was large and tastefully appointed. chandelier, lovely furniture, mirror, curtains. A little alcove/glassed in balcony with coffee maker and fridge (with real milk in the fridge), nice tea. This kept the room quiet with a comfy bed for a great sleep and a lamp you could actually read by. Great location. Nice restaurants right outside, close to waterfront and attractions/tours. Owner recommended a great breakfast place next door. Historic building with key card entrance to building and key to room. Safe, clean and quiet.

Superior experience! Perfect location for walking everywhere. Clean and comfortable. The best towels anywhere!! Super quiet due to the double glass panes on windows and doors. Cleaning staff were warm and friendly. Vanda, the owner/host paid attention to every detail when she remodeled this historic building. She was extremely gracious in accommodating us with an early check-in after we arrived on an overnight flight.. Highly recommended!!

The location was really central, close to a lot of bars and restaurants. We loved the host, she was really welcoming and had a big smile on her face, she made us feel really good after a long flight. Also, the day after we arrived, she sent us messages with recommendations on what to see and where to eat. And she was really nice to allow us to stay a bit longer the day we had the check-out, one of us was sick. The room was incredibly well sound-proofed, it was extremely quiet despite its location. It wasn't big, but enough for a short stay and had everything we needed. And it was cleaned every day

Great location, easy access to nice restaurants and bars, close to the water. Very quiet room, perfect sound isolation. We were deeply impressed by how clean the room was, the stuff was doing an amazing job. Also we would like to mention an incredibly friendly hostess, who helped us with recommendations and was easy to reach in case of any issues or questions. Highly recommend and we would stay there again.

Nothing. Room isn’t huge if that’s something you care about but the bed is very comfy and the room has beautiful authentic tiling.

The bed was very comfy, location was unbeatable, staff very friendly. Complimentary water, tea, and coffee were left for us each day which was very nice. The owner was outstandingly pleasant and thoughtful, even providing excellent local recommendations for the area.

We were very happy with everything.

The location of Downtown Inn was perfect, very central to shops and cafes and about a 10 minute walk to the river front, its convenient location really enhanced our stay. Our host Vanda couldn’t have been more helpful, organising a taxi for our return trip which was very early in the morning, to sending links to places she recommended we try and visit. She was so helpful and kind and really, nothing was too much trouble!
