Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

United KingdomA clearer way to get clean towels - we just happened to catch a member of staff once.
Brilliant apartment - location was ideal, size was great (we did have a 4 person apartment with terrace). The terrace was a great size and we enjoyed our time on it with an outside shower as welll for after the pool. Lots of things provided like towels and toiletries.

United KingdomThe shower didn’t drain properly and therefore every time we showered the bathroom floor was saturated. In the mornings there was a very bad sewage smell, this could be linked to the works that was going on at the time. They did wake us up in the morning and were very noisy but the host kindly refunded part of our stay due to these works.
The location was perfect, close by to lots of places of interest and easy to order an Uber from/to. Clean apartment, nice decor and the check in process was very straightforward. We were also able to check in early which was very helpful.

United KingdomMy wife wanted to use the bath rather than the shower and on one evening we found that there was not enough water.
The situation of the apartment was excellent, Very easy to access whilst feeling secure and safe. Swimming pool was ideal and the host was incredibly efficient and friendly. The bathroom was lovely and clean. Commanding scenes of LIsbon (staying on the 5th floor) was brilliant

United KingdomThe area is just on the verge of being quite 'edgy' at night - this is as much something we could have researched so not a fault - but for some people that would be too much so we feel good to know. We were fine with it. Also the apartments are on different floors so don't all have balconies etc - would be good to have this in info.
Lovely, coffee machine, great shared garden with pool, they looked after our luggage at no extra cost on last day. Helpful and informative.

The flat itself was very clean (minus a few marks on one pillow case). The terrace and pool were great and location was really close to a lot, including multiple metro stations. It was also really handy to be able to store luggage on our first and last days

United KingdomThe property is located on the top of a small hill where there is clearly drug activity going on. I did not feel unsafe when walking up and down the hill, but it did mean being on alert and there was a lot of police activity in the area during our stay too. There is also clearly damp in the property, some plaster and paint flaking and clothes and boxes left in the bedroom became damp after 1 night. However, the hosts were helpful in sorting out the heating so that we could air it out and this wasn't a major problem for the remainder of the stay. The sofa bed was not comfortable which affected sleep quite a bit.
Communication with host was very clear. Location was very close to key central sites in Lisbon. Kitchen was well equipped and main bed was very comfortable. Cleaned very well and pillows provided were great. Located near some lovely restaurants.

United KingdomPool was a bit disappointing in terms of cleanliness but being the end of March we weren't that keen to use it anyway! Although the location of the apartment is very good, the street is not that pretty and is elevated so not that easy for access if carrying luggage

IrelandThe bed wasn't very comfy and was 2 single beds side by side, for a penthouse with high price was hoping forna nicer bed. It felt like one of the mattresses was slightly dented at the edge so you would sort of roll into the crack. The shower could of been hotter too. But that's it, it's an amazing place
It was amazing, beautiful views of Lisbon, sometimes felt better than the viewpoints in the city. Very close to everything, and the pastry shop across from it had the best pastel de nata we had, even better than the most famous Manteigria. Beautiful apartment

FinlandIt was not easy to get in contact with the owner. Would be good to share some travel tips or to have general information wall inte lobby, could be sharing travel tips, good restaurants, gym etc.
Nice quite peaceful place, near to everything, very clean place, beautiful view with spacious balcony. Great kitchen facilities.
