Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. For properties in these regions, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Canadathe room was small... to the point where you can't open the door more than halfway because it hits the bed. The room had a smell and the water pump would make noises at all times during the night.
The location is not bad, the breakfast either. We didn't really interact with the staff as the office closed at 16:00 and opened only after breakfast (from what I understand. the room was OK, but didn't quite look like the pictures. The bed was comfortable.

NetherlandsIn fact walls are not very thick and you could hear quite a bit of noise and voices from the corridor, but in the end it was not a big issue.
The suite was really big and well equipped, modern, a great and big balcony too, and the staff assistance was total. Don't expect a pharaonic breakfast but rather something substantial but equally mixed in proportion to the place's volume. The structure itself is perfectly linked a few steps from both the red-line metro and various bus stops.

PolandVery friendly and helpful staff. Underground and bus stop is nearby. You can go on foot to Gulbenkian museum. Wooden floors are great. And there is a bottle of fresh drinking water in the room available and refilled daily. Overall really nice.

It was very clean; the host was most helpful to us on all occasions, including assisting with Bolt drivers, directions and generally all that we needed. The breakfast was hot and nutritious.

NetherlandsIn the room there was no cupboard where I could put my clothes, so I had to basically live off of my rucksack the whole time which was not comfortable.
The location is really good - not exactly in the tourist area but also very close to subway and bus stations, so you could be at the center in no more than 15-20 minutes. Also, good restaurants near the hotel with decent prices. The room was tidy and comfortable in general. It was cleaned on request and we had free water and coffee everyday. The breakfast was nothing special but also good enough - scrambled eggs, ham, cheese, croissants, etc.

NorwayNot labelled from the outside, so it was hard to find. Dirt marks on the walls, and there was a spot of blood on the headboard. There were signs in the bathroom saying we couldnt put toilet paper in the toilet, and there was a terrible sound that went off whenever we were in there. Breakfast not very allergy friendly, and it started at 9 (a bit late if you have a tour or busy day), but they brought us breakfast to our room early on that day, which was lovely. Would still stay again.
Fantastic customer service- very flexible with meeting our requests. Very kind!! Bed was big too. Good location! Close to a train station, buses etc. Such good potential once bathrooms are renovated. Breakfast good if you have no dietary restrictions.
