However, there were some drawbacks. Our room had a persistent odd smell and lacked a luggage room, which was a bit inconvenient. The breakfast was basic and could use improvement. These issues, while minor, detracted from the overall experience.

Staying at Invicta was overall a positive experience. The room was basic but clean, and the staff were very polite and helpful. Its convenient location added value, making it a reasonable choice for the price.

It was leaking a lot from the shower on the bathroom floor, and since it was small, you have to wipe it every time you use it.

It is clean and quiet, and the staff was nice and responsive. Breakfast was basic but ok and there is a nice little garden behind where you can sit and enjoy your coffee.

As said breakfast is good IF it is there. They need to make coffee, so if staff isnt watching it properly you need to wait for coffee. Especially if the woman is working, expect to not have any bread or coffee! The male worker(s) do keep a good and close watch on the bread and other stuff for breakfast, lucky mornings when he worked! Cleaning is terrible. I understand they dont want to clean towels daily, i promote that as well. But not a single cleaning of the rooms in your whole stay? Disgusting. Some things in the hotel are outdated and/or broken (carpet, in the room our toilet)

The location was good! Easy to reach from the airport and it is close enough to the downtown area. The room is big enough to stay in, with good beds. Breakfast (when it is there, see negatives) is good. Wifi is good. The male staff is friendly and helps you well! They are also easy with your luggage in case of early and late arrival/departure.

The shower didn't have walls so sometimes the water would spill in the bathroom and toilet. But the worst was the bed, it was very hard and not much comfortable. Passable for a 2-star, but I didn't sleep very well. The pillows were super tiny. I think maybe as Portugal is very cheap there would be cheaper options for the same quality or better quality with more or less the same price.

The staff was really kind! They gave me a map of ATM and main locations, helped me with vending machine, lend the dryer. Location is great, close to metro/market Bolhao. The breakfast was delicious, croassaints, infinite "pastel de nata", kinds of breads and strong coffee. The lady was very gentle. Also the shower was really hot and relaxing! Overall good.

Great location not far from Trindade metro station (airport connection) but if you dont like walks to steep hills I woud prefer Marques station which is also close but in different metro line :) The guesthouse is located 15 min walk from the city centre and staff is very helpfull and welcoming nice breakfast with fresh local pastries everyday :)

The smell in the bathroom was sometimes terrrible... Room 003. Room 002 was o.k. A little table in the room and at least one hanger in the bathroom would be useful.

Everybody at the reception was really nice and helpful. The breakfast was basic but enough to start the day (ham, cheese, butter, jam, yoghurt, fruits). The place was really close to Rua Santa Catarina, where there are many cafes, shops and famous azulejo churches.

The location at night didn’t make me feel 100% comfortable walking back to the hotel alone. So, I was extra cautious and returned to the hotel on the earlier than I might have done in other places.

The staff was excellent! Marcel and Giulia went out of their way to help me with everything I needed! They are outstanding people - warm, professional and welcoming! I would stay at this place again in great part because of their hospitality!
