Exceptionally clean! Wooden floors in bedroom and new en-suite with shower. Very comfortable bed in good size room. Lovely windows with shutters- completely sound proof . Excellent location. Highly recommended.Good breakfast.All the staff were friendly and helpful.

The restaurant across the street had a roof fan that was extremely loud all the time--the vent from the kitchen.

The included breakfast was fine--eggs, fresh fruit, etc. Great location next to the train station.

I was a bit apprehensive when I saw that my room overlooked the street cafe. BUT with the double set of windows, I didn’t hear a peep from outdoors. It was the best night sleep of my trip!

The hotel is perfectly located to explore Coimbra and has multiple restaurants and bakeries within minutes of the front door. The breakfast buffet was definitely worth the cost if it’s not included in your room rate allowing you to try local pastries in addition to the usual European breakfast staples: cheeses, fruits, multiple breads, scrambled eggs, and cold cuts. Our room was clean and quite functional and though our window overlooked the street, we didn’t hear much noise at night. We parked at a nearby (2 blocks) underground parking garage with in and out privileges for 20 euros/day that the hotel has an arrangement with. Worth it. Was easy to get to by car from the south, walk up into the city, to get out of by car to go visit the nearby Roman ruins, and to head north at the end of our stay. The staff were very helpful and positive.

There was a hiccup with the elevator when we came back in the evening, but that was fixed in the morning.

This hotel is centrally located and easily reachable by car. The paid parking area is very close to the hotel. Restaurants are around the corner. This hotel is a two star hotel, but it is more a three star hotel in terms of services and facilities. Rooms were clean and well equipped, the elevator is small but functional, breakfast has a wide variety and it is delicious, the staff is very helpful and friendly. We were very happy about our stay and we were pleasantly surprised about the quality.Highly recommended!

The room was on the small side, but it's an old building after all.

Small but very professionally run, with a good understanding of guests' needs, helpful and friendly staff. Well-equipped for the independent traveller. My room was small but cleverly designed (especially the bathroom) to fit in all the necessaries. Bathroom was very clean. There was even a small area for the kettle, tea and coffee and a sliver of a river view from the window. Sufficiently comfortable for a couple of days' stay. I loved the location, literally steps from the train station (Coimbra, not Coimbra-B) and it was easy to walk from the hotel uphill to all the main sights. Although the breakfast is typical of most Portuguese hotels, this one stood out for the quality of the ingredients - there were even generous slices of fresh mango.
