Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

FinlandThe communication with the host wasn't the best. They didn't speak English and didn't reply to messages (we were enquiring about early check-in and sent messages through 3 different channels). The bed was uncomfortable, as were the pillows. Our apartment had a kitchen, but the kitchen had no cutting board nor kitchen knives. We had to cut the ingredients for our food with butter knives, which wasn't the best.
Very central location, but still quiet (our apartment wasn't above the bar). The place was renovated recently and was clean.

PortugalThe room was located above a bar, that was really noisy in morning time (8:20am loud music from the caffe/bar, when is only allowed to make noise from 9am to 10pm, legally). Also, on a Sunday evening, you could listen the music until 11:30pm. I looked forward to rest, but was quite impossible due to the noise. I spoke with the management regarding this and they offered to move me to another room but after that I didn’t got more answers. I believe if they invest in sound proofing would be a better experience for the guests. They should provide toilet amenities, as is not available at this property. Also the AC wasn’t working on the heating mode, and I had to use the blankets provided on the wardrobe. Apart from that, I don’t have anything to say.
The bed was comfortable and was very well cleaned. Also the location is top.

It's a money machine, without caring about guest experience. Guy that does cleaning of sheets asked me to leave apartment to change sheets (i could perfectly stay at kitchen). Ended up dismissing service.

The apartment has everything you need and it's located right in the middle of downtown. Very convenient location. Easiest ever check-in and check-out.

IsraelWe arrived and did check in at 20:40, after long day outside, we wanted to take a shower and then we found the shower full with hair from the intimate parts and long hair of a women , the water of the shower just come out and flows the shower. Been talking with the owner first, she told me in 30'min someone will arrive, pass more then 1 hour, I sent her message again and she never answer again, I called booking and then they spoke to her, it's was after midnight Alredy, and she said early morning will come person to check it, we arrive the morning and no one arrived, I talked again with booking , but she completely ignored the calls . We Couldn't use the shower and we needed to do check out without shower. I'm genius 3 in booking , made many reservations . I wouldn't recommend this place. I don't know if they did it as they knew I'm Israeli. And if it's about antisemitism behavior. As I can't prove it, but no other options are on the table. The guy that responsible to the apartment arrived at check out time 11:00, he could definitely arrive earlier, gave them all the option to solve my problem before got to call booking and made this complain.
