Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.

GuernseyThe music round the pool could sometimes be a bit intrusive and isn't really necessary for a spa environment. But the staff were very good about it if we asked them to turn the volume down.
I have travelled extensively and this is undoubtedly one of the finest hotels I've ever stayed in... every day when we returned from our sightseeing it felt like coming home as the staff couldn't be more welcoming or attentive. The rooms are bright and spacious and the beds are super comfortable... it was so quiet we slept better than we have for years!

SpainRooms were small. They wanted to impose no children at the pool except for the morning 8-11 slot (during breakfast and it was too cold to swim)- after speaking with management they waved this because the hotel was not in full capacity. The spa is a room that has no door- it has a temporary divide, you can hear everything outside. Pool area was small. I would not suggest this hotel for families at all.
The hotel was beautiful! Breakfast was great. Sauna was good.

United KingdomOne minor thing caught my attention - that the pancakes at breakfast are not freshly made. They are laid out on the buffet and cold. I did ask for fresh ones, but they brought me some from the kitchen moments later that had probably been made an hour earlier, and so not fresh. This can be easily corrected.
The hotel was as good in real life as it was in the pictures. Very new, luxurious and clean. Great amenities. The smell throughout the hotel was amazing. The staff was outstanding, from the porter to reception to the restaurant, the service was amazing. The location was good, close enough so that you could walk to the main attractions, but not be in the middle of them. The pool is heated all year around, which means even in the height of winter you can go for a dip (it is half indoors and half outdoors). I will definitely come back next time I am in Porto.

United KingdomReception staff were not as welcoming or accommodating and often quite abrupt. Did not go over and above but did their job efficiently. The menu during the day and evening could have been more varied. We noticed that not many guests used the restaurant in the evening despite it being beautifully appointed and staff always courteous and welcoming. Lighting in the bedroom was poor. No mirrors located by the dressing table, no well lit area of the bedroom. Tea was not replenished. No fresh milk in fridge only tiny amount of UHT milk.
The restaurant staff especially at breakfast were warm friendly and efficient. Fabulous breakfast buffet and hot breakfast food cooked to order. The spa and pool staff were also exceptional.
