Everything was OK. The only thing we were not expecting was to agree to a €30 charge up front on my credit card which we were told would be used if you bought drinks etc. We were assured that if we didn't buy anything, it would not be taken. However, 5 days later, it is still showing as a pending payment on my credit card. We understand why the hotel does this, but it was a surprise.

They did warn me when I arrived about noisy construction. Works have been better to have had the choice to stay and not tell me as I’m signing in. Also the beds were way too hard and uncomfortable. I travel a lot and this hotel had by far the worst mattresses I’ve ever slept on. I’d love to go back but quite frankly with four sleepless nights I’ll probably not go back.

The location was beautiful. The staff outstanding. The breakfast buffet was very nice.

Mattress/ Bed is old/soft, as pillows, there was some improvement work going on in the kitchen, just below room, what starts with breaking stones, but management handled that properly with a discount, and weekend was quiet

Some workers was really rude, pay too much attention for their phones and ignore customers (in bar area especially). We also didn’t have some simple things in our room, and called to the reception to ask about everything: slippers, toothpaste and a brush etc.

Good location, really close to the city centre and embankment. Gays in the reception helped with all our questions and was super friendly) Amazing spa and pool, water in jacuzzi can be a bit more hot, but it’s still good. We really enjoyed our rest. Also want to say about delicious meals in restaurant and very good breakfast. Our room was comfortable, had huge bad and amazing view on Pico. Thanks for team of the hotel!!

It would have been nice to have two chairs in our double room. The bathroom would benefit from working extraction. I really don't like clingy shower curtains!! It would also be helpful to have hooks on the back of the door to hang bathrobes.

Pleasant hotel in a great location with good facilities and friendly, helpful staff. We had a nice room, huge comfortable bed, good breakfast.

There was a very unpleasant smell in the room when we checked in. It hasn't worn off in 3 days.

The hotel is nice and clean, but it is already very old, you can feel it. Good breakfast, convenient location, parking, very large and comfortable bed, view of the Pico volcano.

The rooms are worn out, they need to be renovated, especially the taoestry on the floor which has stains and bad odour. Breakfast selection could be better, too.

Hot meals at breakfast not kept warm. Coffee is terrible (but true for most of Azores). Thin walls, drains loud from other rooms. Would be good to have cover at main entrance for cars (to unpack/pack)

The hotel is situated in the centre and consists of a few buildings. Free parking available. The room is clean, the hosts are friendly. The breakfast was tasty and this breakfast room has a magnificent view on Pico island (see attachment). Keep in mind there is no lift, so if you have a heavy suitcase it might be an issue.

The room and hotel are tired. We expected something more modern and updated for the price. The bed was very firm.
