The coffee at breakfast. They have a new coffee machine in the breakfast room but it still broke!

It is a wonderful hidden gem of a hotel. We have visited many times over the past 15 years , on our own and with teenage and now grown up kids. The staff are welcoming, efficient, friendly... and the rooms are smart, with really comfy beds. The roof top bar is an oasis of calm with stunning views across to the castle midst the Chiado district roof tops and high above the hustle and bustle of the streets below. It's a great base to explore the city, a few minutes walk from the central square by the river and access to trams and trolley buses, as well as all the wonderful streets and steps and alleyways that make Lisbon a delight. Bars, cafe's and restaurants of all types and prices are within minutes - Michelin stars to tiny, funky tapas. It is up a hill, but then much of Lisbon is! The breakfast buffet is lovely - hot and cold choices, simple and delicious. The bar also does light meals and is wonderful.

This is a lovely hotel. Great location, a short walk from the Baixa-Chiado Metro and ideally placed for sightseeing. Staff were helpful and super friendly. Breakfast was excellent - lots of choice (from full English to traditional Portuguese), and all good quality. The breakfast room itself is lovely - light and airy, and like the relaxed rooftop bar-terrace, offering great views over the city. Would highly recommend.

Location was fantastic, super walkable and central to everything! Breakfast has a nice selection with nice views. The rooftop bar was beautiful! We had already had dinner out but came up here for a drink and enjoyed the view.

Everything! We had a massive room with a terrace with fantastic views. Spotless clean (cleaned everyday), big powerful shower, comfortable very large bed and comfortable lounge chairs. Staff very professional, friendly and helpful. Lots of lovely extra touches. Breakfast very good and lots of choice. Location is excellent. We walked to all the sights. It’s not cheap but you certainly get quality and well worth the money. Would definitely stay again and highly recommend

We loved everything! No complaints or issues whatsoever.

The staff incredibly friendly and accomodating. They provided us with fantastic recommendations and made us feel so comfortable and welcome upon arrival. The hotel location was amazing (super close to everything) and the views from the balcony were incredible (direct view of the castle, cityscape and river). I would recommend 10/10!

The coffee machine in our room didn’t appear to work -and in any event a kettle would probably have been more useful. I was surprised that there was very little by way of a reception area and the hotel didn’t not appear initially to be particularly welcoming

Breakfast was excellent and the location was superb- it was very easy to access all areas of Lisbon and we particularly enjoyed the view from our terrace and from the roof bar

Prices were a lot higher than my previous visit 6 years ago.

Perfect location to explore all sights of the city. Good area for shopping and dining. Hotel has great view of the Tagus from the roof garden. Rooms are comfortable. Decor is understated and simple. Bath and toilet amenities are good. Check-in staff are friendly and helpful. Hotel offers a good breakfast in a nice spacious dining area with good views. lovely architecture and lots of art on display.
