The room could use better lighting. People need to know there is no elevator although it's only one flight to rooms.

Nothing really to complain about, just note there is no lift but they make arrangements to help you with all your luggage so no problem at all. Also, temporary plumbing noise when water is turned on, but it goes away after using.

The staff (especially Daniel and Katarina) were really attentive and sweet, the location is close to everything, our room is so spacious (restaurants next to it are great food, there is a Michelin restaurant not too far!), the welcome wine, fruits and treats inside the room were really nice and thoughtful, breakfast was delicious! Easy to get around, Uber can pick you up right in front of the hotel.

The breakfast area is a bit small. Since we were on the second floor, it didn't bother us without an elevator. Despite that, we had a great time staying here.

The building is over two hundred years old but has been well maintained. The room we stayed in was very spacious and had a lot of style. We booked a large room for a four-night stay, and it exceeded our expectations. It felt like we were staying in a cool guest room of a castle. The hotel is in a great location, with many local restaurants, attractions, and boutique stores within walking distance. The breakfast was delicious, and the staff gave us a warm and personal welcome. It was such a great stay!

Everything was perfect, the bed may be a little hard for others but was not for me.

This beautiful hotel is in prime location. The room was absolutely divine and the bathroom was spotless. The reception and staff were so friendly and accommodating to every need. Breakfast was perfect. Eggs were always moist made fresh every 10-15 mins, good variety of cold meats, cheeses, croissants, fresh fruit and fruit juices which was modified each day. Would recommend 1000% we will be back for sure. Thank you Bordalo palace Team you were a highlight to our stay.

The hotel is simply beautiful, and Catarina and all the staff are warming and really attentive and careful with details. The note you leave us was just 😊. The room was really confortable and as the rest of the hotel charming and decorated with lot of taste. Breakfast was superb, with food options for allergics and all was superclean. All in all a place to come back for sure!

The plumbing was quite noisy but it all worked perfectly well and the shower was very nice and spacious.

The welcome from Daniel was just lovely and we felt very welcome. It was like staying in someone’s home but our room was very private. The breakfast was delicious and everyday it was a little different. We stayed for 3 nights and felt very much at home.

The building is historic so if you are looking for modern conveniences (e.g. elevator) you will not find them. Some people may be turned off by the historic feel of the rooms - I would describe them as vintage.

Breakfast was great. The water pressure was great. We appreciated the large counter in the bathroom. The rooms are enormous! The staff - Daniel in particular - was exceptionally helpful & friendly. All spoke English. The location is fantastic, with an easy walk to the Metro and Rossi train station.

Breakfast was a bit sparse and the breakfast room itself smallish, which made it a little crowded in the morning. Walls are pretty thin so you may hear some noise from the corridor. Not a major thing but I'm personally not a big fan of fitted carpets. Overall a little overpriced, but then again so are most accommodations in Lisbon.

Nice old building, good location and clean and spacious rooms. Staff was friendly and helpful. Loved the old-style interior.

You need to walk up stairs to your room (there is no elevator), but we were expecting this so more as an fyi. Not suitable if you have accessibly issues. Some other reviews mentioned that the plumbing is loud when you use the water - this is true, and kind of odd but not an issue. Confirming it if you’re reading other reviews but who cares, haha.

The staff were very friendly, always offering assistance or suggestions. We even got a hand written note on our last day, lots of personal touches. The suite was a nice size, especially for an older building. Fairly comfortable bed and no issues with the room. Cool atmosphere and room decor. Nice that breakfast was included, delicious croissants. The best part was the location, you’re right in middle of many landmarks and restaurants.

The property was exactly what I was looking for our first Lisbon visit. It was beautiful and welcoming. From reception to the breakfast room to our room - all were immaculate and comfortable at the same time. The staff were helpful with what ever we needed, from dinner reservations to directions. The location made it so easy to get to all of the sights. I highly recommend Bordalo.
