It was a true challenge to put sheets on the third floor bed. Also room was quite small but manageable.

The location. The kitchen could be used to make basic meals. The bedrooms had AC, which during the heatwave were necessary. The bathrooms were neat and clean.

I *think* 2 dorm rooms of 6 people were sharing one bathroom. So get up early, use the bathroom, and get out. Or else get up way later than everyone else.

Had to wait for staff to get there upon my arrival, was lucky that other guests opened the door for me. Not everybody travels with a phone (mine didn't work because of roaming limitations). Maybe add a doorbell.

It's a very friendly and nice place, right in the center of Setubal's historical quarter. Yet it's a quiet area, no traffic noise. The atmosphere in the hostel is nice, staff is super friendly and the communal spaces include a shared kitchen with fridges, stove, microwave oven, coffee machine, ...

The stairs (of course), but I accept there is very little that can be done about that. The only other thing I would say is that a triple bunk in such a small space is not ideal, particularly if everyone were to be up and about at the same time.

The staff were wonderful, the terrace is a welcome area to relax, the facilities were high quality and the location second to none!

- unfortunately very noisy - not possible to sleep well (karaoke bar nearby, you can hear other guests entering the hostel at night and you can hear guests from the room above)

- big, comfortable room with nice facilities - awesome terrace and kitchen area (fully equipped) - good location - air-conditioning

They cover the mattress with a protector that is not very comfortable. I didn’t complaint about it because it wasn’t that bad, I can sleep anywhere :D

The location is great, the staff very nice and helpful. The place is clean and quiet. I enjoyed my stay there. The views from the terrace are great, perfect to enjoy sunsets. I would definitely recommend this place.

Could be lights with every bed - clip on lights only came with some beds. And could be curtains on the beds to give you privacy, especially when sharing in a mixed dorm with 5 other people.

I stayed at Day Off hostel for 2 weeks and it was a home away from home. Not only is it in the old town, 2 mins away from a pink-bougainvillea adorned miradoura, it's also run by the loveliest group of people you could wish to meet on your travels. Shout out to Cristina especially, who goes out of her way to make everyone feel so welcome - if you want to know Setubal and its secrets, she is the best person to speak to. The dorms are clean and comfy, with an electronic plug above the bed for your charger. There are lockers and the shared bathroom is cleaned daily. As a remote worker, I found the quiet desk area at the back perfect for meeting my deadlines. The rooftop complete with a fully-fitted kitchen was ideal for everyday life. Lastly, other guests are friendly and respectful. The hostel is a quiet place to enjoy Setubal and get a good night's sleep! I would return to Day Off in a heartbeat. Thanks.

I loved this hotel. It was easy to get to and central, and once I arrived there was a warm welcome from the manager who had stayed late to check me in and show me round - much appreciated. The top floor terrace was a great feature with a panoramic view of Setubal - very unusual. My room was clean and comfortable. I would recommend this hotel - excellent value for money and a real discovery!

The structures and buildings on the street and around the hostel does not give a positive first impression of the hostel. But when you entire you are surprise and you definitely enjoy values for your money

The interior is beautiful, well lit and with a rooftop lounge. The receptionists were helpful throughout my stay. There are a lot of restaurants on the street and in the environment where one can have decent breakfast, launch and even dinner.

six people dorm has triple bunk beds but is otherwise a tiny space but they do have large lockers for luggage.

Claudia was so welcoming and helpful. Newly refurbished with excellent kitchen and shared facilities.

It would be good perhaps to put a mobile number on Google maps as the land line number there wasn't answered when I tried to call to check some info before making a reservation on booking. Booking says there is a late check in fee after 7pm which almost put me off but actually there is a self check in system with no charge. So it would be good to update that info here to know in advance.

Lovely hostel. Caring staff. Great location. Very comfortable. I stayed when the hostel was quiet in winter and after booking was contacted and asked if I would like a different dorm by myself at no extra cost. The aircon had already been turned on to warm the room when arrived. I was given a tour of the hostel and tips about what to do in setubal. When I asked questions during my stay via WhatsApp I got quick and helpful answers. The hostel owner even helped me get back my hiking sticks that I left on the ferry which was so kind. The room had really comfy bedding and a nice clean bathroom.There are lockers in the room. A kitchen, a really nice roof terrace and also spaces with comfy chairs for sitting in the hallways. Great location. I really enjoyed my stay.

Rooms were a little cramped, but it’s a central town hostel soooo, you’d be pushed to do better.

Really nice location and decent amenities, kitchen over looking Town was great and it was a super beautiful town.
