PortugalThe place was a bit difficult to find (you need to drive slowly to avoid missing the turn - but the road doesn't allow driving fast anyway), and the room could be a bit bigger, but that wasn't critical. There are no relevant issues.
Very quiet place. Clean, good breakfast and very friendly staff. Great place to rest, especially in Spring.

CanadaWe cannot speak highly enough of our stay at Cerro da Campaniça! The room was beautiful, light filled and wonderfully comfortable, with amazing views. The host was incredible and is an excellent chef - the dinner and breakfast were delicious! He was also very informative of Portuguese history, food and farming - every conversation was an opportunity to learn. Even more appreciated was his understanding when we ran into health issues that impacted the length of our stay - he was super supportive and helped make a difficult situation much easier. Highly recommend staying here!

The welcome was lovely and the the food was fantastic - if you stay there, make sure you book in for dinner! Much of the produce was made on site - cheese, honey, sausages, ham, pasta de nata.... moonshine (shhh!) ;) .. The chef/owner really knows his stuff and trained as chef in some of the worlds greatest restaurants. It really was a lovely stay! thank you...

Germany"Did not like" is the wrong expression. Unfortunately I have to report that room no 5 could be better soundproofed - we had a family with a small kid next door and had to overhear their efforts to keep the girl busy and make her go to bed - don't worry they were successful. The night was very quiet, we slept very well in the comfy bed. Anyway, I would rather use ear plugs than miss out on Raphael's dinner.
Raphael is a highly interesting and inspiring knowledgeable and versatile host, it is a privilege to meet and exchange thoughts with him. The dinner he prepared was very enjoyable - if you are looking for something different, this is it. The breakfast is also well above standard. It is less than a km to (re)join Rota Vincentina.

This farm stay was beyond our wildest expectations, and a perfect start to our hike on the Fisherman's Trail. Rafael went out of his way to welcome us, even taking us on a mini tour of the beautiful property to go feed the goats because we mentioned we were excited to meet them. He told us all about the many products being made at the farm, including fresh cheese from the goats and sheep, honey, and a wide variety of fruits and vegetables. Then we had the opportunity to try them all during an exceptional dinner prepared by Rafael - including the first two avocados from their trees and very fresh fish spear-hunted by a friend of his. The multi-course breakfast was also spectacular. Our room was clean and incredibly peaceful, and we especially loved visiting on the patio with the 2 sweet dogs. Rafael made us feel like family during our short visit, and we can't wait to return!

SwitzerlandOur stay at Cerro da Campaniça was wonderful, the staff so friendly and helpful and the two dogs adorable! The rooms are comfortable and cozy as well as the living/dining room. We asked in advance if a vegan meal could be organized and it was no problem at all. In fact they provided us with a mouthwatering chickpea curry and a delicious breakfast including bread, homemade jam and fresh fruits. We recommend this stay a 100% and would love to come back again.

PortugalEverthing and everyone was great but I have to say something about the host Rafael: he's super nice, always has a great story to share with the guests and he's a great Chef. Do yourself a favour and don't miss out on the dinner. Also important for those who like to run, there are a lot of great paths to run around the property - if you're lucky, you'll see some rabbits hopping right in front of you. (You can also take one of the bycycles and go for a ride)
