Not far but not located in Horta, leaving you with few options over the weekend if you come unprepared.

Great unit, very clean, fully stocked kitchen, excellent wifi, very accommodating manager, feels more like a home than a rental unit.

Sandra went above and beyond to help us despite a very late arrival, and kindly picked us up from the ferry station for a reasonable fee. The accommodation was very comfortable and quiet and the area is just so beautiful. Highly recommended!

Our stay in Sandra's house was wonderful and she was so helpful. Lovely, comfortable and spacious house and the host was excellent. She replied to any queries in minutes and even arranged a transfer to the airport for us. Would recommend.

The bathroom was a bit small and the beds showed some signs of humidity. While this didn't significantly impact our stay.

Our stay at Casal do Vulcão was very good! This peaceful and beautiful place, made of volcanic stones, is surrounded by lush greenery, offering a perfect location to explore Vulcao dos Capelinhos and the rest of the island. The staff was friendly and attentive, and the well-equipped kitchen made our stay more comfortable. We also loved the beach nearby.

The house and gardens are fabulous, spacious and very well equipped. The volcano is a short walk away as is a great swimming place. The owner is lovely and helped us with every question.

The hosts were very very helpful, and always available. They tried to fullfil our every need. The optional breakfast was huge and varied, even enough to take something away for lunch.

Very calm and comfortable place. Close to the light house and museum. The owner answered all our questions before the arrival very fast. We got even surprised with a small gift for our honeymoon.

You must come prepared with supplies. Turned out there is no cafe at volcano and the nearest shop is about 45 minutes walk each way. Obviously not a problem if you have a car. Luckily I got a lift one way.

Great little place very close to Capelinhos volcanic centre. Lovely pool for a swim after a long walk and silence at night. Great reception by Sandra. Very convenient if using public transport- the one bus a day stops right outside.

Fantastic place. As it is quite isolated, please keep in mind that there is no place to have a meal nearby.

A truly remarkable place - the closest point to the western part of the island. Some minutes of walking to the famous lighthouse and the volcano place. Probably the best location to stay and you have the entire house. Super quiet, very clean. All houses, built up from the volcanic stones, are fully equipped with all you may need and nicely decorated. We really enjoyed the outlook of the property. The parking is outside the gates.
