This was the best place we stayed in Portugal! A must for anyone coming to Porto! Staff were very friendly and answered all our questions. The breakfasts were made from fresh produce and well planned and the dining area was beautifully decorated.

Hotel staff were extremely welcoming and helpful. Breakfast excellent (as was the Fado/wine tasting event). Hotel was in peaceful and relaxing grounds. We would certainly recommend Casa Kala for a visit to Porto town.

Fabulous facility..like staying at a country manor. This was a wonderful oasis away from the throng of Porto. Wonderful, friendly helpful staff. Incredible breakfast. Terrific amenities, even a bottle of wine! We couldn’t have been happier with our stay at casa Kala. Exceptional!

Everything about Casa Kala was outstanding. The staff were particularly friendly, enthusiastic and welcoming, at all times. My garden room was exquisite. The bed very comfortable. The breakfast was delicious with lots of different specialties for me. I booked a massage with their in house masseuse which was a lovely way to spend an hour. I cannot rate this place highly enough and I would most certainly return. Thank you

This was the most beautiful place! It was comfortable, airy, gorgeous. Everyone was so kind and helpful. I wish we could have stayed another week. Diego and Marcus were so friendly and gave us great tips for Porto and our next leg of the trip in Evora. I wish we could move to Porto.

During the day there was some noise from what sounded like a nearby daycare center. But that is only during the day when the hustle and bustle of the city is also happening.

One very minor point: lounging in one of the hammocks on a weekday (oh, the luxury of it), I became very aware of playtime at the crèche next door!

Beautiful building and grounds. An atmosphere of calm and relaxation pervaded throughout. Our room was spacious and spotless. The staff made every effort to be helpful and friendly at all times. Fabulous. We’ll be back!
