The accommodation exceeded my expectations. I had a great stay, and I loved the location. There is a walk along the Tagus nearby where you can watch the sunset. I walked there every day.

We really enjoyed our stay. The apartment looked better than in the photos. The bed was a little too hard for me, but still comfortable. The apartment was clean and spacious with all necessary amenities. And the hostess was very helpful.

Worth noting kitchen equipment is quite limited, and no washing machine.

A lovely flat in an interesting and in many ways beautiful location across the river from the city. Very clean, nice old furniture, comfortable. Easy access to to the ferry across the Tagus. Host Mario is very friendly and helpful and shows you around the neighbourhood.

The apartment is beautiful and in a fantastic location. We were very comfortable. Mario was a very thoughtful host - he showed me around the area on arrival even though I arrived late and made sure we could contact him whenever we needed to (we didn't - everything was lovely!).

There were no drawbacks to Casa Gil Vicente, the place was completely clean and tidied, and we didn't have a single problem with the equipment.

Perfect location. You can have an awesome view on Lisbon right outside of the house. The city centre is super easy to reach with a quick ferry ride that leaves about 10min away by foot. We had a great stay.

Appartment was on the ground floor, so street noises are very well heard. It is great that not too much cars passing by at night, but we heard some people speeking and celebrating. So maybe not the best place for sensitive sleepers. But It was not a problem for us :)

Realy spacious and clean place. Nice interior. Great value for money. We liked staying here.

There wasn’t anything we didn’t like but some suggestions are it could do with a kettle as us Brits like making tea although there was a coffee maker. Also handy to have some blankets for chilly nights as the duvets are lightweight.

It was a spacious very well located apartment. Nicely furnished & appointed. It was close to the elevator which takes you to sea level & then it’s a five minute walk to the ferry & across to Lisbons waterfront. Two nice restaurants along the way & more near the ferry terminal. There is a nice Taverna right next to the house where we had breakfast. We really loved being in Almada & easily found free parking by the house. It was an interesting & quirky area & nice to get away from the hustle of the city. Mario was extremely helpful & easy to get hold of. He rang to check everything was ok after we arrived. We would definitely stay here again. Thank you.

If I have to say one thing its the pillows in the bed. They are synthetic and gave me sore muscles. But that was a small thing. Besides this everything was perfect.

Beautiful, very clean and big appartment in a nice and quiet area. There are more appartments in the house but you dont hear your neighbours, its a very quiet, inside and outside. I wanted to be a bit away from the hustle and bustle of the city centre and this was the perfect place. 10 minutes walking to the ferry to the city centre. Very kind host as well.

The house is very comfortable and well decorated in the old part of town, making it easy to walk around. A small walk down the road takes you to the river where you can walk to 2 restaurants with a charming view of Lisbon. If not cross the road and you have a small restaurant just at your doorstep. Driving to Lisbon and back may be a little nightmare in summer but crossing the river on a ferry is the recommended option. Simple and quick with regular crossings. If you lucky you can get parking nearby. A city alternative to get to the beaches of Costa da Caparica.
