Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):

United KingdomThe studio had everything we needed. Although we would have appreciate a little bit more capacity in the little kitchenette, there was a very convenient little cafe, just next door for breakfast, lunch and dinner or for a little snack with local beer and Porto wine.
We met Sonia at the property who was very friendly and fantastic with her tips for things to do in Porto. We stayed at the studio on the ground floor, very cozy with a fantastic view from the balcony on the town. Position was excellent only few minutes walking from the busy centre, but quite at night time and with a comfortable bed.

United KingdomWe loved the old exposed stone walls in our studio and the terrace was amazing with an awesome view of the old town! The studio was very quiet at night, perfect for us. We loved sitting on the terrace so much! Sonia was amazing - so helpful and so genuinely friendly. The beds were very comfortable. The location is perfect - a few minutes walk to beautiful Sao Bento train station. A few minutes walk to a small but very useful supermarket and a few minutes walk to Da Terra, an amazing vegan restaurant with a wonderful buffet. We absolutely loved Porto and one of our favourite homes on the planet, Casa Dos Caldeireiros! Thank you very much Sonia!

Location was superb. The room was very comfortable with everything we needed. We loved the welcome drink… we went straight to the shop and bought more!… and the balcony was amazing. Loved sitting there and taking it all in. Sonia is an exceptional host. She was very welcoming and lots of good tips and advice. I messaged her several times and she always came back quickly. She also allowed us to check out later as the room had not been let. We loved our first trip to Porto and Cas Caldeireiros had a lot to do with that.

I had a wonderful stay in Porto. Initially, I had made a reservation at a different place. However, after reading the positive comments and praising Sonia's hospitality, I decided to book this accommodation. Sonia is an excellent host and guides guests well in all aspects. Her warm demeanor at the beginning and end of the trip creates a memorable and enjoyable experience. The accommodation was clean and adequately equipped. There was a pleasant silence at night, which contributed to a comfortable sleep. On my future trips to Porto, I will definitely return to this place.

The room seemed like it was recently renovated but we were told it was all 12 years old. It’s higher up in Porto so the views were amazing. Sonia who was the host was beyond exceptional and extremely friendly.

Great location with walking distance to all the major attractions and nice restaurants. Really lovely balcony looking over the old street and a very comfortable room with good beds and a modern shower whilst retaining the building’s old character. Convenient to have a fridge and cooking facilities too. However, the best thing is the host. She is so helpful and friendly! Gives lots of tips and suggestions about what to do in Porto. Personalised our stay and even gave us some complimentary port. Would 100% stay again due to her friendliness!
