Nothing, all good

Super quiet setting in nature, even though it's sitting right on the old N2, but there is almost zero traffic. Room was good, the restaurant is truly excellent. Good honest food, well prepared, friendly service.

No ATM .one bus at 7 am to Loule. Returns 6 pm . Own transport must have ..

Area very peaceful. Nice walks around village night sky views amazingly clear .

Most of the meals were good but we would have liked some lighter alternatives in the evening - obviously very Portuguese but the portions were huge and we never managed to finish a meal which felt wasteful.

I have never stayed anywhere so clean! Breakfast was good, although repetitive - would have been nice to have a bit of variety. Excellent coffee and real value for money. A huge variety of local people visited including the Sunday bikers. Great for people watching! The staff were terrific and although some were a bit shy with their English to start with they soon relaxed with us as we tried to learn some of their language.

Although the hotel is located on the main road, it is quiet. The food in the hotel restaurant is delicious. The host Sandra was very friendly and helpful. The room we received unfortunately smelled of moisture, when we told her that she immediately gave us another room.

Only 40mins to Faro, this clean, comfortable accommodation with on site bar and restaurant, served a great selection of well prepared local foods. Breakfast was very good. Parking for our motorcycle was excellent. Petrol station across the road.

The room felt very damp and it didn't help that other than the shower room window (which was small), one couldn't leave a window open without the door being open as well. There was an old ginger cat (a Tom, I think) outside so I was worried he might come in and spray the room if I left the door open. The staff were unwelcoming and grouchy - despite my efforts, I couldn't get a smile out of the receptionist/lady who served breakfast. The pool was so heavily chlorinated that I had to take another shower after going in, to get the smell off my skin. I missed eating any supper as the restaurant never seemed to open - it was only next morning when I took breakfast that I realised, when not busy, food is served in the breakfast area. There was also no internet in the rooms - only in the main building and in the outside seating area by the car park. All in all a disappointing stay for somwewhere that seemed to promise so much.

The room looked the same as in the pictures - modernised and up to date. The bedding was good and the bed comfortable. The shower room was clean and worked well. The pool was spotless and the sitting area around it was well maintained and very pleasant. The surrounding terrain is interesting with lots of hills though driving through it is tiring as there are so many twists and turns. Breakfast was tasty and very good with fruit, breads, ham and cheese.

WIFI is not very stable.....swallow's were nesting above my entrance door and you had to pay attention to get into the room clean ;-) It is a bit far from the beaches (25 minutes) but I knew before booking.

It is a hidden gem along the national road N2....if u want to relax and eat very well...this is the place to be....the bed is comfy, TV has international channels and there is a huge walk in shower with a good water pressure....breakfast is well taken care off and the restaurant for dinner is excellent....service with a smile...

The room was a bit smelly (humidity). Only one seat. Space outside all covered with concrete, not prepared for guests, no green, no shade, so that you either have to stay in the small room or the restaurant. Therefore, not suited for longer stays. 1-2 nights max. Good starting point for hikes.

Quiet because rooms are not in the same building as the restaurant. Very good restaurant with good value for money.

Perfect location on the N2 as a base for our local motorcycle touring. Other than Fuel Station (opposite) there is not much around but again we found this ideal given the excellent food, wine and friendly hospitality. Accommodation is simple but very clean and comfortable. Looking forward to going back.

Wi-Fi reception in my room could be a bit better, but it was absolutely fine outside the room.

Everything was great. The room was cleaned every day. The food served was yummy and in reasonable prices. The selection of wines was really good. The staff was friendly and helpful. Excellent place to stay. Recommended.

Really enjoyed staying at Cantinhi Da Serra. The staff were very friendly and the pool area was wonderful... and not busy. The room was fairly spacious and clean. We ate in the restaurant and had a fabulous meal which was not expensive. It got busy though probably because it was so good. Loved the fact that the locals used the place too, and it seemed authentically Portuguese. Would love to stay there again.

Nothing much to pick on except maybe that the swimming pool could have been cleaned/filtered a bit more. Overall excellent value for money.

It was exceptionally hot during our recent visit and there was no fridge in the room

We are frequent visitors and enjoy staying overnight after dinner and using the swimming pool.
