Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Delightful little boutique hotel in the charming village of Casével near the Alentejo town of Castro Verde. The service from the family that run the hotel is fantastic. We had a lovely, spacious room with very good wifi. The hotel is spotless and beautifully refurbished in a modern rustic style. There is a small swimming pool in the central patio and a terrace overlooking the rolling countryside. We were served an excellent dinner for a great price. The town is quiet and beautifully preserved. Another boutique gem in Portugal.

PortugalA beautifully remodelled old house set in quiet Alentejo village. The interior is sympathetically furnished with quality bed linen and towels. The food offering is excellent - home cooked evening meals and lots to choose from on breakfast buffet. You will not go hungry! The attention to detail is excellent. Sofia is a wonderful and engaging owner. A lovely experience staying here and we will definitely return.

United KingdomThe room was very cold on arrival and we had to get the heating aircon pumping to fill up the large space with the beautiful high ceilings. This felt uncomfortable for us until we warmed up. We enjoyed chatting with the owner but we ended up being quite late setting off as she was so friendly and talkative! :) Not a criticism, but long conversations may not suit everyone.
Very friendly owner. Beautiful room with gorgeous free products. Lovely decor, beautiful touches. A lot of love in this place. The vegan, gluten free breakfast the owner prepared was delicious, she really did go the extra mile for us. The pool looks wonderful. We wish we'd had longer to enjoy the place. We went for a walk around the very charming village. We loved being in the middle of nowhere. We would highly recommend this place and would definitely come back.
