Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. For properties in these regions, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

BelgiumKitchen equipment was below expectations. Only 2 cups, only few plates, scratched pan, broken cutting board….. not possible to cook properly. Chairs on the terras are not comfortable to sit on for a long time.
Perfect location. Quiet location and still close by the center. Very good shower.

Privacy. We were both sick unfortunately and we had everything we needed nearby including hospital and pharmacy. The place was perfect for our stay. Local grocery store saved us! Will be back again for a second trip since this one was cut short by illness. Thank you for everything.

United KingdomGood location 5 minutes walk from the main bars and restaurants. 3 minutes walk to a large supermarket and 1 minute to a local supermarket. 10 minutes walk to the train and bus station. A quiet location with very little outside noise. Outside balcony that is nice and sunny especially until early afternoon. Kitchen is clean and well equipped. TVs in lounge and in bedroom. Access to the room via key box and we were sent the code at lunch time so managed to check in early afternoon

IndiaThere was no water when i arrived due to the broken pipe in the area. But it was fixed by evening which didnt cause much trouble.
The staff was polite and ready to help. The property was just cleaned and was in very good condition. Got the keys at time and had a nice and smooth stay. Even the checkout was smooth and the location is just 10 mins from the main city and marina. So no need to use transport or car

GermanyFloor was dirty in the whole house, bed sheets were too small for the bed, there were barely any dishes, basic cooking equipment was missing (no salad bowl, no strainer, no breakfast plates etc.) so the large and sophisticated kitchen made no sense, as the equipment is missing. This could be so easily fixed and it has been mentioned by other guests. I also wished somebody would have mentioned that starting at 6am In the morning airplanes take off from the airport and fly right over this partnof the city. This counts for most if Faro so no criticism at the Casa de Praca For that.
The host met us at half past midnight at the property and was very nice showing us all the details of the place and telling us some tips about the city. Thumbs up!
