Amazing place, historical with fabulous views over the Douro valley. Johanna the manageress spoke perfect English and was sooo very lovely and kind. The meals and breakfast were fabulous. We were touring on our motorbikes and felt that the parking was very safe.

The place is amazing. Located on a hill the view ober the Douro valley is amazing. There is a free private parking on the property. The hostess was very nice and helpful. She greeted us and showed to our room and other facilities. The room was very spacious and nicely decorated. The bed was very comfortable. The views from both the room and adjecent bathroom was amazing. The later was clean and had everything we required. The breakfast was delicious. We were offered a bread basket, a variety of jams, fruit and coffee. We also got freshly squeezed orange juice! Overall, it was an amazing overnight stay, we are sorry we couldn’t stay longer.

All the staff has been very welcoming, a special mention to Clotilde that made feel us at home. The swimming pool is wonderful and the view is wordless. If you go to Douro, they definitely deserve a visit!

Simply the best! Already stayed second time and will be returning every year if possible. Advice for everybody - going there for one night only is good but you will regret you have not stayed longer :) If going for longer, take books with you as your first two-days plan will be changed and you want to relax only.

very nice location in the hills, beautiful old house and former stables, great swimming pool with plenty of sunbeds and drinks. We had a wonderful dinner with wines and port. Wifi in the house was very good.

Beautiful country traditional Portuguese house, with plenty of charm and little corners to discover. Peaceful with beautiful views of the vineyards and small church. We didn’t use much the pool as we were all day out mostly, but we did watch the beautiful sunset, it is definitely a plus. Breakfast was very nice and fresh with local jam, which was served on the outside garden. Staff is very welcoming and ready to help. Lovely stay. Thank you so much we definitely wish to come back one day. Also has parking which is good.

Joana was an amazing hostess. The other ladies were fantastic too. We stayed for 2 nights but could have stayed for 2 weeks. Felt like visiting family. Charming old home, now accomodation. The pool the gardens, the house, the location with the church bells, vineyards and mountains was just amazing. We reloaded our batteries by relaxing completely. We had dinner here on the second night, which we highly recommend. Hospitality second to none. Good breakfast and comfy bed, good shower and stunning views. The rooms are large and equipped with all you could need. Joana was accommodating, adaptable and it felt like family seeing us off after only 2 nights. Would recommended 100 times over.

It gets a bit humid during the night. The pool was not filled with water, but we didn't have the time to use it anyway and it was not hot enough, maybe they fill it in the summer (we stayed there at the end of May).

This is a wonderful, very beautiful and authentic place full of small details which take you a hundred years back in time and create a unique atmosphere. The room itself is pretty basic, but spacious and comfortable. The area is very picturesque. The host is very pleasant and helpful and speaks good English, she told us a bit of the story of the place. They even left us a small welcoming gift, which was sweet (in both senses). The breakfast is very good as well. We only stayed for one night, and it felt like it's way too short and you need at least a couple of slow days to properly enjoy the place.

The Casa was very beautiful! The building was full of charm and the rooms were very comfortable. Ik loved the room with a very luxurious bathroom. We had a 3 meal course with wine and port. It was all home made and served in the beautiful garden. We loved it! The host Joanna was very friendly and welcoming. I love to come back one day!

If you want to get away from it all for one or a few nights the Casa is a great location. Nestled in a small village (narrow roads!!!!!!), it overlooks the Douro valley. The host is a wonderful lady and we highly suggest you join the community dinner. Had some lovely home-cooked meal with a couple from Quebec. The staff are awesome, especially if you speak a bit of German. The grounds are ample with lots of plants.
