We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.

The host, Antonio, was wonderful. Very nice and accomodating, taking very good care of us and ensuring everything was great. Location is good, as it is an easy walk to the train station to take the bus to Pena Palace. Because the hostel is relatively small, we felt very comfortable to cook and have diner in the dining room. For the same reason, we did not have to wait for the bathroom so that was good. Everything was very well organized and clean.

The owner was really welcoming, friendly and knowledge. Our room was lovely and comfortable with a view of the Moorish castle. It's a perfect location to explore Sintra from. We walked the Moorish Castle from the door. We also got the tram to the coast.

PortugalThe superb rating is so spot-on. Casa Azul is not only clean and well-equipped, but it also has beautiful interior design and a very kind owner. I felt at home right away + there is an amazing local market right around the corner, so you can buy tasty fresh produce and cook in the kitchen instead of depending on restaurants. And I made a few friends in just one day. Lovely people pass by here. Don't miss it!

United KingdomLovely private room in the hostel, clean, safe, with an amazing host. Great kitchen, dining room and roof terrace. The shared bathroom was a little annoying just because of the number of users needing one room, but I knew what I was signing up for from the beginning. The location is wonderful not far from the train station, with a supermarket on the nearby street and only a 20 min walk to Sintra old town. Would absolutely stay again.

Greatest host I've ever encountered in a hostel, great communication, very welcoming, introduced everyone which really broke this ice with the other guests. House was clean, comfortable, relaxed, secure and safe. Couldn't have asked for more. First totally full marks I've ever given. Even had what an Irish man like me would call tea, a rare treat in Portugal sometimes lol

The property manager was incredible. So nice and helpful. He also would also let you know who else was staying in the dorm and where they were from which was actually very helpful when trying to remember the other peoples names and felt very homely. The kitchen was great, plenty of room in the fridge. Walking distance to public transport. The beds were also very comfortable.

Antonio was so friendly and helpful and seemed to take a genuine interest in his guests welfare, introducing us to each other. It was like staying in someone's house, very comfortable and homely. I loved it. You could be private but the communal.areas encourages people to talk, which i liked.
