No elevator. No reception. We arrived at 6-7PM and had to call the owner to receive us and give the keys (he arrived in 5-10 minutes and was very helpful).

The apartment was good and had enough space for 1-day stay. The bathroom was good and clean. The apartment is far from any road with traffic so it's very quiet. Free parking on the road. Owner was very helpful in helping us with the luggage. The location is good although you need a car to get to the center.

The bed was small and mattress was too hard for us. The kitchen only had one frying pan so we had to buy one.

It was clean and a lot of space. Everything offered in the kitchen worked and there is a supermarket very close. The view of the hillside from the kitchen balcony is beautiful. Adelino was very friendly and we managed to talk using our phones to translate.

Everything was as expected vis a vis value for money.

The location was perfect. It was near the groceries and not far from the train station and the restaurants.

Living room and kitchen weren´t very cozy, but we were out most of the time.

Very nice house for the group of friends. We were 5 people and we had 3 rooms for ourselves and kitchen and living room and 4 balconies altogether. We got to spend lot of time on the balcony and apartment was near the river and city centre. Good that place had the Lidl shop nearby and lots of places, where to go to eat.

The owner can’t speak English and it was difficult to comunicate. There were few amenities available (toilet paper and soap) barely enough for one night. Moreover, the neighbour has a dog tied in the garden that didn’t stop barking in the afternoon.

We stayed in one of the rooms available to rent in the shared rental space. Our room itself was great - a comfy bed and comfy pillows, a tv with a variety of channels (including several english-speaking channels), roller blinds to block out light, a balcony with seating and a beautiful view of vineyards, and sufficient towels and toiletries (including bar soap, shower gel, and hand soap). Because this is a shared rental, you'd expect noise from other tenants but either the soundproofing is great or we just got lucky because we rarely heard anything other than birds chirping. In addition to the room, the shared spaces were great - a living room with a big tv, a dining area which was also used by us as a working area next to the living room, a kitchen (with use of a fridge, dishes, utensils, and a microwave and coffee and tea was provided), another dining area in the kitchen, a balcony off the kitchen, and a backyard in which you can relax on hammocks while you're surrounded by vines, fruit and vegetable gardens, and chirping birds. There is also a parking spot provided and free street parking, and the place/area is safe and secure. The rental is walking distance to the river, wineries, restaurants, bars, and the old town. The host, Adelino, is super awesome - if you get a chance to visit his cafe/bar in old town, you won't regret it! I highly recommend this rental and would stay again!

I really appreciated the structure, is a double floor units with shared living room and kitchen but definitely fancier than a hostel, it fits also different kind of travellers. The view of the room was amazing and everything was cozy and clean.

it’s great if you’re the only occupier but it should be clear that if others are there the lounge and kitchen are shared i would appreciate a broom and mop to clean but we were alone for the most part

this is an apartment with lounge kitchen and two other rooms it’s not a private suite as advertised very quiet and well appointed well located

Bed was small for two people and had a hard mattress. We were only given one small toilet roll. They charge 5€ for parking, which no other place in the Douro Valley did. Shower water goes hot and cold especially if a neighboring room is also using the shower.
