Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. For properties in these regions, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.

We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Centrally located easy to navigate Porto from here. Exceptionally clean and very focussed on security. They had a great continental breakfast for 5 euros per person an exceptional value and had endless cups of coffee. The staff were very helpful all in all you can’t go wrong staying here. They even provide laundry service for a small fee. They have thought of everything.

The rooms were cozy and clean and perfect for our stay. The staff was helpful and friendly. The breakfast (5 Euros) was delicious. The hostel was located near the metro station and in the heart of the historic center. It was near the Cathedral where we started our Camino, and had luggage storage available to guests. We plan on staying at Being Porto again.

Historic building. Lovely furnishings. Comfortable bed with sliding curtain. Breakfast was great. Lots of choices and fresh sqeezed juice. Able to arrange trips from the hostel.

CanadaThe space isn’t conducive to meeting people. Would be nice if they had some organized activities for solo travelers. Bathrooms were clean but smelled strongly of mold and you had to wait at times because there is one bathroom per set of rooms.
Great location, right in the heart of the city. Clean rooms, bathrooms, and kitchen. Comfy beds and pillows. Staff is knowledgeable and helpful.

GermanyThe room wasn’t very big but for a couple of nights is totally fine. Unfortunately you could hear the other guests that were next to our room talking, showering etc. and also noises from the entire building.
The location is very good as the hostel is next to the city center. The breakfast was nice and packed also with healthy options. The staff was very friendly and professional. In general it was clean and the kitchen always tidy.

FranceNo elevator! If you're on the 4th floor, be prepared. Also, the place is very noisy. Walls seem to be made of paper. All rooms are directly adjacent to the stairs and most people slam the doors when entering or leaving. Ear plugs are mandatory if you want to sleep.
