We found a tuna steak on the microwave on the first night, so that was not nice. I asked for lactose free milk and they didn’t get it and I already specified that on the booking.

It was so close to the beach, loved that! Very nice area, close to the main town but not close so you feel the quiet and peace. Ribeira Grande is close to Ponta Delgada, so its a very nice location. One of the breakfast ladies was so nice.

for 100 euro night I expect airco in the room like the other places I stayed during this holiday. There was just a van.

Mountainview rooms have alot of road noise. With no aircon the window needs to be open at night. Fan helped.

They ran out of (e.g. eggs) things for breakfast if you don't come to eat early. For breakfast, more vegetables (tomatoes, cucumber, etc.) would be a plus!

I liked that the breakfast was included even if it was simple. I liked that they had everything I needed in the kitchen. I loved the blinds. Overall, it was a good place for the money.

It's not a huge disadvantage, but just have in mind that the shared bathroom is not on the same floor as the room (if you wake up in the middle of the night to go to the bathroom, it might be a bit inconvenient). Also parking is not always possible precisely in the area of the houses, but close-by (around 5 min. walking).

The property is very nice, beds were comfortable, room was clean and had a fresh smell. The breakfast was good, served on time and we had plenty of options. The owner is very friendly and offered to provide local tips, if needed. The room had ocean view, which is great to wake up to in the morning. :)

WiFi could have been better.

It was a great location - a walk to the beach and central to all the other spots we wanted to visit in the island. Breakfast was nice and simple (bread, cereal, coffee, jams, etc.). Many parking spots. We stayed in the apartment and cooked a few nights and there was plenty of supplies and everything worked great. Would definitely stay again!

Low water pressure in the shower, but that's me being picky. One can shower OK, just not like in a waterfall

The place is renovated, with all the required facilities. Guests can use the kitchen to cook or store food in the fridge. The house is 5 min walk to the beach.

Note that the address provided on the booking.com isn't necessarily super accurate, I would recommend putting in the coordinates into your GPS as opposed to the actual address. To check in, you call the host and he kindly advised that I was at a different location, so just take note of that! Nothing else to comment on, it was a great stay and the host was super nice!

The host was extremely kind and welcoming, showed me to the room, and walked me through the premises (i.e., the shared kitchen/living room, the location for breakfast). The breakfast was standard with some savory and typical breakfast granola and toast options. The room was delightful, spacious, clean, and the terrace gave a nice glimpse of the beach from the nearby fields. Parking was easy, as there's plenty of street parking right outside of the rooms.

Well, it is not expensive, so it lacks a number of conveniences that you would find in more expensive places. Like a toilet on the same floor. But that is part of the deal, and we enjoyed our stay.

Poor WiFi connection - beware if you’re a digital nomad trying to work from the premises. It is sketchy - sometimes it works for couple of hours, but sometimes you cannot even find the network and connect. The owners said: “there was a technician 2 times this week already and everything is working fine” - well, clearly it’s not. If guests are complaining, there has to be a reason and this is unacceptable to not offer any valid solution. Also, breakfast was super simple with not the highest quality ingredients. Almost no choice. Also, maybe you could use the Azorean butter instead of importing from Spain in these little plastic containers to reduce the carbon footprint? This would match sustainable approach and environment protection measures that these beautiful islands are proud of.

Close proximity to the ocean - stunning beach with wonderful sunset views just around the corner. The property itself is quite modern (guess it’s been built or renovated recently), so it’s nice and clean, although rooms might have been bigger. Overall good value for money.

The property is essentially a house in a suburb, with a shared kitchen and bathroom. There was only self check in, in which I had to phone a number on the front door to receive verbal instructions on how to enter the property. The only staff I ever saw was the cleaner in the morning. Staying there was like sharing a house with flatmates who are complete strangers. It wasn't particularly charming.

The room had a balcony with a view of two horses. The location was close to the surfer beach, but a bit of a walk from the town centre. The property was clean. There was a "chip truck" at the corner having a pig roast with delicious pork on a bun.

The lady who took care of the property was super nice and friendly, she made our stay very pleasant. The location was convenient, the whole property was newly refurbished and clean. Tasty breakfast.
