It's a fair budget option in an expensive place - no frills.

Ricardo is an amazing host and really helpful. It's value for money for a comfortable dorm with cool common area including well-stocked kitchen and outside terrace near Guincho Beach. While I had a car (easy parking, but watch out for the bus. If you are not in a marked spot, you'll probably have to move your car), which makes it convenient to get around. However most other occupants did their thing by foot or public transport, which seemed to work well. Good affordable local food nearby.

the cleanliness of the shower is worse, the toilet is smaller and not very comfortable, but great for the price.

late check in was not a problem, great communication, there were only two of us in the room.

There was a lot of sand and also hair in our bed. It seemed that someone staying in the hostel had slept in there (probably unknown to the hosts). There was a wet towel and a couple of empty bottles left in the room.

Comfortable mattress, good value room, great location & view, use of kitchen and it was lovely to meet the host Ricardo.

Installations showing clear signs of deterioration, especially the common sanitary facilities. The double room was just large enough to fit the (generous) double bed. , but tolerable thanks to the large window to the terrace. The landlords were available but seemed to prefer minimal contact (this can be good or bad depending on your view).

Interesting location in small village in the middle of green hills, with distant view of the sea. Direct neighbourhood consists mainly of nice private houses. Nice house with spacious living room and terrace. Comfortable double bed.

The common room and kitchen are very nice spaces to be in and Ricardo is super friendly and will help you with everything. The location is just beautiful. There is a beautiful beach at only 20 minutes walking and a nice national park is just a short bike ride away

The view was amazing. And also the architecture of the house is so beautiful. The living room and kitchen were really nice and comfortable. The owner was really friendly and even drove us to cascais, because the bus wasn’t coming.

Smells of mold. Strongly. Worms in shower. Shower doesn’t drain properly. Your feet are soaked while you shower.

- by self check in it was not clear which room was ours. A little note or information before hand would be nice, especially because we could not reach the owner - Some little things do need some maintenance (lights missing, sink does not drain)

The staff was nice and everything, but not really present to show you the house and if you need help. It’s quite far from Cascais, which has their pros and cons.

You have a lot of space where you can stay besides your shared room. It’s very calm and peaceful. Overall it was clean and tidy. For Guincho beach is only a bit less of 2km, there’s a trail in nature which is quite nice. If you want to kite surf, remote working or just calmness it’s ideal. It’s quite well organized. There’s only two bathrooms from what I’ve seen, one just with the wc and another just with the shower, but I’ve never had to wait.

We booked last minute for the first night and we could not reach the owner. Hopefully some people let us in and we could find a room to sleep.

The house is huge and confortable which makes it really nice to live with other travellers as well as to find some tranquility. The location is also perfect, quiet, accessible from the city and to go to the beach by foot!

No staff on hand which is fine but I booked the room close to check in so there was not a bed made up for me nor a key to the door. I wasn't assigned a bed so I searched around for linens.

The house is incredible. It's a bit hard to find but the seclusion enhances the experience once you settle in.

The living room with cool books of different spheres, ocean gifts, really cool atmosphere, enough dishes to cook and eat, the small details that add the hostel its charm

You feel like at home here. There are so many details that make this place cozy 😍 I met incredible people there, also ocean addicts 🤩 The atmosphere is fantastic. I do recommend this place to stay at Amazing Guincho Hostel ☺️

Everything was fine.

The stay was special. What I liked the most was the warm, home-like atmosphere in the hostel. I felt very safe and comfortable. The people who work here and the guests are all so kind.
