The only downside was that our bathroom door was not shutting properly and this was a minor issue.

Highly recommend staying in this hotel if you are coming to Comporta for a couple of days! The property is located right in the middle of the village, you can easily walk around. Room decoration is charming, the bed is super comfy, the hotel is quiet, and breakfast offers a nice display of savoury and sweet dishes. Staff is super accommodating.

The rooms have poor insulation, so you can listen to crying babies (this wasn’t blocked out by my earplugs) and other people’s screaming at said crying babies. The shower in the suite is very small, as a small and light person (wearing XS) I still felt claustrophobic in this shower and managed to bump my elbow on the walls of it. Also, this shower was made in a silly way and overflowed with every shower you take. Creating a messy bathroom experience, as you have to sacrifice towels to keep your feet dry when going to the toilet opposite of the coffin-like shower. The room cleaning seemed to come very late on the day (close to 4-5PM) and you have to ask to have your room cleaned.. I’m not sure when it would be done otherwise. I’d suggest working with these “Clean my room” door hangers. Also, there’s no flexibility or additional courtesy. I paid 4 days in advance (but we could only stay 3) and that wasn’t cancellable anymore. But it would’ve been a nice gesture if they either upgraded our suite or gave us some complementary gesture/credit for future or even wine. But nothing was offered, and I had asked twice if sometime could’ve been done for us. Additionally, they didn’t clean our room on the last day. Whereas we paid for that day and night (and wouldn’t be there). Even after I explicitly asked for it to be cleaned so we could enjoy a clean suite and towels for a bit of lounging. They only came around 4PM for this, but we were on the verge of leaving now. This feels a bit lazy to me.

The suite itself was lovely, it really does look like the pictures. And the breakfast was excellent and has fresh fruit at the buffet. No dairy free milk though for the coffee ;) Staff was friendly and pleasant.

The bathroom was slightly on the small side with the shower tight, as others may note. However, the size of the room makes up for it!

The superior suite was absolutely stunning - attention to detail was executed. For us, as a couple, it had everything we needed. The bed was super comfortable and a quiet area meant an amazing night sleep! We didn’t head in the pool, but the area around it was perfect for a late afternoon sun trap. Thank you to all of the team! Bravo!

It was just perfect. The staff is incredibly kind and helpful and always with a smile. Late night my husband was hungry and I called the reception to ask if was possible to eat something ( the bar closes at 23h, and it was near that time, but they managed to bring us something to the room). The room was beautifully decorated and the bed/ pillows super comfortable. The breakfast was delicious with a lot of options, and everything home made (the papaya marmelade was divine). Super clean and cosy with a Boho Chick atmosphere ( the pictures doesn't make real justice). The common areas were beautiful, pleasant and enjoyable.

Absolute perfect. a beautiful hotel with relaxing decoration, one quiet room and cozy room, excellent bedding. caring staff. minibar of soft drinks free, two delicate touches: an Easter cake offered on our arrival, and on Easter Sunday a chocolate rabbit was waiting for us on our bed. Very pleasant bathroom products, olfactory atmosphere of the hotel three pleasant. breakfast with a lot of choises. a flawless weekend! us and will come back soon !
