Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):

AustraliaSome of the furniture could definitely do with a refresh, the sun lounges in the garden need to be replaced as they are unusable. Forget about catching the 28 tram from outside the property - it is too full by the time it gets to the Alfama district. There are other transport options (bus or metro) within a short walk.
The suite was large and nicely set up, the bath was great. I had a garden suite which was pretty quiet and the staff were helpful. The property is in the historic district which is great to explore, but very overcrowded.

AustraliaWe liked the in room tea /coffee facilities but unfortunately no milk was provided.
The location was great walking distance to the port and old town landmarks. The cable car ran right alongside the hotel and our room overlooked the street and although it was noisy it certainly added to the experience. The room was well fitted out and very comfortable. Loved the coffee shop and garden next door to the hotel. The reception staff were friendly and helpful and they allowed us to leave our luggage in storage until the room was ready for check in.

AustraliaThe ventilation in the apartment wasn’t great. We used the air conditioner so this wasn’t really a problem.
The reception staff were exceptional. We had a flight delay which meant we arrived at 3am. It was easy to communicate with the staff and be reassured that our check in would still be smooth. On arrival we had no trouble and the gentleman at reception carried our luggage to the suite and made sure everything was fine. During our stay the staff, especially Isabella, were extremely helpful giving us wonderful recommendations about nearby restaurants, transport, and sights in the city. The suite was very spacious and comfortable!

New ZealandThe top floor was quiet enough but the 1st floor was a bit noisy when cars or trams went by. One room was a bit dark and difficult to do makeup. The fridge didn't really work in 2 of the rooms we stayed in, I forgot to let reception know. We stayed in 3 different rooms over 3 separate stays.
The staff were amazing, and so helpful and friendly. The location was excellent for seeing the old city and downtown. It was very clean and the bed was very comfortable.

United KingdomBring earplugs if you’re a light sleeper as the trams rumble past from early morning to eve (we had rear garden flat). Can also hear water running in flats above. Garden furniture was broken including loungers, table and umbrella. This was highlighted to reception but they already knew. Contents of flat needs some attention: chipped coffee cups/ sofa slip cover zip broken/ noisy bathroom extractor/fridge door storage broken. Small things that didn’t upset our great time in Lisbon as we were out and about most of the time.
Location great for Alfama. Great size apartment. Daily cleaning and changing towels. Good air con.

United KingdomThe only thing that wasn't great was the double bed. It wasn't an actual double bed but 2 single beds put together which made it a bit uncomfortable in the middle.
The location was perfect with a short walking distance of 5-20 minutes from a lot of nice local restaurants and tourist attractions. Everything was very clean inside and kept to a high standard with the cleaning staff coming in every day to make sure everything was clean. The size of the apartment was also perfect along with a nice view.

GermanyWhat is apparently not so good in this hotel is the breakfast buffet. We didn't use it ourselves as there were hardly any people having breakfast there and the breakfast room wasn't that inviting. Nevertheless, there was a wonderful breakfast restaurant one door away, so this combination with the hotel was perfect. The only drawback was a single squeaky bed that made a noise every time you moved. It would be great if it could be oiled or replaced so that people sleeping are not disturbed by it. ;-)
The location of the hotel was great. The hotel is in the centre of the old town and the attractions and restaurants are within walking distance. There is also a tram stop for the famous line 28 right outside the door. We had booked the apartment for the family (4 people), which was well equipped, spacious and clean. It is very quiet in the evening, so you can sleep well.
