The overall cleanliness can and should be improved tremendously. Overall it might "look" clean, but the details were painting a different picture.

Carlos, our host, was truly great and very helpful with plenty of tips and tricks on how to enjoy our stay in Azores. The location is also quite convenient (if you have a car) and close to a lot of tourist spots, both on and off the beaten track.

Our apartment looked a bit like a garage with 2 small windows, but for someone who is out the whole day and comes back only to sleep is absolutely fine. (Just the bed wasn't ideal unfortunately.. it is an old mattress with springs)

The location is perfect to start any trip as it is in the middle of the island The house has an amazing garden and big barbecue You can use the washing machine and tumble dryer for free anytime There is a little kitchen with some dishes and electrical devices to cook or just made a coffee

You should know that the house lays directly at a street, so you will hear the street / cars quote loud during day and night.

In 8 people we got only one key and one remote for a garage door. Kinda difficult to handle for a big group of people with 2 cars... 2 of the 4 bedrooms have really small beds. So for two people to sleep in such bed (maybe even smaller than queen size), it was really uncomfortable. The last issue was with cockroaches. There are plenty of them! In the rooms, outside, on the terrace. We fought with them almost every day. If someone is really terrified of them, probably this is not a place for you...

Very nice apartment that fits for 8 people. Amazingly huge terrace with tables and chairs. Perfect for barbecue! Outside shower and toilet. Kitchen with everything you need even with a dishwasher.

Casa Amarela is situated in the beautiful little village of Capelas. the house is wonderful , very well cleaned and full of all comforts for your stay. there is a beautiful garden with a bbq area and the owner will suggestion you lots of places to visit during your stay. we really loved it and we hope to come back!

Kitchen was basic but sufficient. Shower could be better, and a better bathroom mirror would be nice. Birds live in the roof, so if you have problems with sound it could be a problem, for us it wasn't a problem it was rather cozy.

View from bedroom and bed is very nice. Garden and grill to be used when we wanted. Close to a large grocery store. Secluded from all the buzz and hear the birds singing and chirping in the morning.

Distinct smell (but we got use to it) and high humidity! (something that is hard to adjust for not islanders)..

Nice basic equipment (+ washing and drying machine - very important!), authentic backyard, cleaning service during longer staying, extra towels for use e.g. at spa, late check in after midnight with no extra charge, convenient location (12 min from the airport) Thank to Carlos for nice staying and Ruben for waiting to check us in and practical advice. :)

During our stay, we found a few alive bugs crawling around so If you struggle with insects, be aware. Also, the birds nesting between the roof and the ceiling makes lot of noise making it impossible to sleep after the sun is up.

Location is great, and the house is surrounded by a lovely garden which really makes you feel you are immersed into the nature. Also, our apartment had bedroom with ocean view, that added a great value to our stay. Carlos, our host, was very welcoming and gave us great tips!!

very minor: needs a few more basic kitchen items. Small bowls, mid size cooking pot.

stunning large property. Rich gardens, soul filling song birds. views of the ocean from large sitting/bedroom. Kitchenette sufficient for basic reheating. Small fridge was enough for our daily needs. We loved the isolation from big city, close(walking distance) to little local minimercado. Or a bit longer thru beautiful back road to Capelas. Also walkable down to very popular beach at Poco. Whale Trader historical trail is another very interesting hike from Casa Amarela. Either need to be willing to walk/explore or rent vehicle(IDL needed) or taxis are very reasonable, know their way around and allows you to see rather than drive. also, the best towels of our 5 wk Portugal adventure!

Carlos was the nicest host, very caring and welcomig. The duplex was very spacious and confortable: evreything you need is there! The view, the bed, kitchen: super nice We were there in winter time so Carlos made sure the heating was enough, which is important when you go to a place humide like acores!
