Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. For properties in these regions, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

PolandThe hotel does not provide beach towels, so guests need to bring their own. The rooms lack air conditioning, which can make them uncomfortable during hot summer nights. Housekeeping was minimal, limited to a towel change and a quick sweep of the floor.
We recently stayed at a hotel right on the beach in a quiet part of town, conveniently close to Sopot’s city center. The beach bar was a nice touch, offering beach chair service, though you’ll need to bring your own towels. The hotel’s restaurant serves a good breakfast buffet with fresh eggs, vegetables, hams, cheeses, and breads. We also had a nice lunch there. The reception staff were very friendly and helpful, making our stay easy and pleasant. Our room was comfortable with modern decor, although the lack of air conditioning made it a bit warm during hot summer nights. Housekeeping was fairly minimal, with just a towel change and a quick floor sweep. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and would consider returning, particularly for the location and friendly service.

LithuaniaThe restaurant is on the ground floor and some loudness may be during the stay. However, the worst thing are the air circulation tubes for in and out kitchen, and ventilator (motor) installed in it. The noise which starts in early morning and ends at late evening (~11 pm) makes sense to your rest. Actually, there was no information that room is noisy and the price we paid for is not worth. Luckily, the ventilator went down on the second day of our stay, but, I suppose, it will be repaired soon. The beds aren't comfortable and pillows filling is a bit strange.
The location is perfect, only one minute to the beach. The room is small, but clean and modern. The staff is very helpful.

Location was very good, a short walk to Sopot and seconds to the beach. The food was varied and good, ample parking available.

PolandNon arranged parking (everyone was just free to block a space where otherwise could park 3), very noisy hallway and slamming doors, towels disapearing after one day without replacement, unfriendliness staff terras (even had to ask for bill three times), had discussion about slightly later checkout while it was agreed via mail upfront, shouting gardeners….. Anyway, I think when the staff would have a more natural smile and treat people friendly the other items would have bothered less.
Close to the (private) beach, modern room incl balcony (atleast far better than you would expect seeing the building outside).

UkraineCoffee from coffeemaker on breakfast was really terrible. And orange juice was definitely made from some powder.
Great location and nice personal. Comfortable room with side sea view. Maybe too soft bed, but it depends on your preferences. Breakfasts were good, but nothing exceptional and too expensive. It's better and cheaper to take breakfast positions from the restaurant menu.

PolandGive the exterior a lick of paint and it's all set. Or better don't as it makes it more of a hidden gem.
Don't be thrown off by the shabby outside of what is a great looking modernist villa in the style of 1930's Gdynia. Inside the rooms are spotless and brand new as is the restaurant. Even the rooms that are not sea facing give you a glimpse of the beach and they all open onto a lovely old park where the only distraction are the cars parked below. But no concrete, just pines and other old trees. Restaurant serves an OK buffet brekafast but you can probably get better value by gettung just the room and then doing an a la carte breakfast with some of the tasty stuff that is on the menu but not included in the buffet. The hotel is basically on the beachfront, spearated just by a path and bike path that runs along the whole tricity beach front, you can go barefoot from hotel to beach. And the beach - well this is the sublime sand that makes the Polish coast so unique. The sea itself is cold - locals and any northeners will go in, if you're looking for Med temperatures this isn't the place. All the boozy, clubby, hip attractions of Sopot are a short walk away - sufficiently close so that it's not difficult to reach but far enough so you don't get the noise. Also, check out the quaint houses of the original fishing village which are just around the back of the hotel. The several fishing boats that still operate out of Sopot are also based here so if you get up at 7 a.m. you can watch the fishermen haul in the catch of the day and see them selling the fresh fish in their stall.
