I was traveling solo mid October, just before the high season and found this hotel super cheap for what you get. You’re literally one minute away from the snorkeling point where you can see sardines and turtles. Location is great, everything you need is following the path to the right from the hotel, you will pass restaurants, bars and everything in between. The staff are amazing, as a solo traveler is nice to know that your first friends are the staff. They are lovely people and super helpful. The view is great and the room is comfy and well equipped. The breakfast is simple but made with love, I enjoyed as much as the view almost every morning.

Stairs to the penthouse are steep but doable and the view and breeze is worth it Make sure you bring cash to Moalboal - payment for activities is only in cash or G-cash, generally there is a premium for card transactions.

We upgraded our room to the penthouse on arrival - I highly recommend this. The room is huge and has fantastic views with a private balcony as one of the tallest buildings in Moalboal! Great value for money. We were allowed to check in earlier as the room was available. Staff were friendly and helpful ahead of arrival with clear and rapid communication. The team supplied a list of facilities and & rates of activities offered by the hotel and helped booking ahead of time, which made planning our short trip easier. There are also snorkels and lifevests available for use from the hotel for free, and a good-conditioned scooter available for rent. Location is great - accessible to the main street with a 10 min beachfront walk but sheltered from the hustle and bustle.

A bit noisy when people gather in the street for their tours early morning.

Spacious and fresh room in a great location, it was my best room on my whole trip so far. The breakfast on the roof top terrace with a beautiful view is also very good. Snorkeling gear was provided for free, just go to the beach and you will see the turtles. Plenty of restaurants in walking distance. Scooter rental was also cheap and easy. Highly recommended!

The mattress was hard, and my back hurt each morning when I woke up. However, that did quickly fade as the day progressed.

Excellent location. Offered to upgrade to the "penthouse" for a nominal fee which I accepted. This room was two levels on the top floor with a private balcony overlooking the water. The optional breakfast was amazing and a great value. The staff, Lodie, Joy, and Kris, helped make the stay that much better by attending to any needs I had and with information. I would recommend anyone stay here and would do so myself on a future visit.

I loved to stay in Strandhaus. The location is great, ypu are close to the beach and the busy street with bars and restaurant is walkable. The owners very friendly and help you with booking for the whale sharks and canyoneering. Also you can rent snorkel and fins for free. The view from the rooftop is amazing. Everything was perfect.

Quiet room with amazing views, just off the street of restaurants, as well as a fantastic restaurant with pizza right downstairs. Walk across the street and then walk right into the water to snorkel and find turtles and sardines. Very friendly and helpful staff who helped us arrange for transport to and from Cebu city.

We had a lovely stay at Strandhaus. The location is perfect since it's close to the beach and restaurants etc but without being in a busy and noisy spot. The rooms are decent and kept tidy by the staff who were super friendly and helpful. Special shoutout to Joy who was very kind and helped us feel at home there. I would come back if I ever visit Moalboal again.

The windows weren’t very soundproof so we could hear the men from across the road quite loudly singing, playing music but this didn’t really bother us it was actually quite nice to hear them singing and having a good time😊

The staff were so unbelievably friendly, we were always greeted with a smile, nothing was ever too much for them, they were really lovely people 😊 The room was a good size, very comfortable and in a prime location for restaurants, bars, the beach and was easy enough to venture out from 😊

Only the upper floors have a balcony and a view. The water pressure is on the lower side and the wifi was very patchy.

The accommodation is right in front of the sardine run. Restaurants are all in walking distance. The room is very spacious and the bed very comfortable. Staff are very friendly.

I had a great, week long stay here! The staff are all so friendly, and Majona, the owner, was very helpful and sweet and helped me set up transport from the city too. The location is perfect- close to the beach and various restaurants and dive shops, but far enough away that it's quiet at night and not affected by the noise of the nightlife. The room was spacious with a lot of natural light and a nice strong AC for the hot days. I hope to stay here again soon!

Nothing! Wish we could have stayed longer.

We loved our stay!! Everyone is warm and happy especially Majona the owner. The place has incredible views including a rooftop terrace. You can rent scooters direct from them and they give you snorkelling gear for free. We walked straight down into the water 1-2 times a day to swim with the turtles and sardines. The place was clean and super comfortable and everything is walking distance straight along the beach. Would highly recommend!

Such lovely friendly staff here! The location is amazing, right on the sea front where the sardine run is and a short walk along the beachfront into town proper, where there are loads of lovely restaurants and cafes. The room was large, clean with good wifi and air conditioning. The hotel has a lovely rooftop for sunset and provides free snorkelling equipment and free water! Would highly recommend staying here.

Excellent hotel, where the owner couldn’t do enough to help you. I had the penthouse suite which I hadn’t realised I’d booked. The views were incredible and it was fantastic value for money. Location was perfect. A short walk into the Center and easy access to the beach.
