One of my favourite venues on our 23 day trip, so not much to dislike. The only thing I would say is that the food was very salty, which can be typical in regions centered around fishing communities, so maybe request for less salt if your not a fan, and then add more later if you wish.

At the southern tip of Cibu its a lot quieter having travelled down from the north, and down on a small side road away from the main Cibu island coastal road this made the location perfect. The buildings were pretty, with the rooms really nicely made and it's really a beautiful place to stay for a really reasonable price. The beds are super comfotable, with a solid AC system, and a really nice little bathroom at the back. There are a few rooms in the main building that have views looking out over the lawn, swimming pool and out to sea, and then there are some rooms in houses running down the side of the property. We booked out 2, one of each type. The rooms in the main building definitely won with the views. However it's all really close so appart from that, both were good/similar. The swimming pool was just a small rectangular pool at the bottom of the lawn area, however it was perfect for looking out to see, and also it had a surprisingly deep deep end, which was good fun. Finally the really good thing about this venue is that they just let you use swimming/diving equipment freely, bother included in the price and also freely in a trusting sense. At the bottom of the property you can run straight into the sea and swim out over the shallow waters.

This is a perfect place to stay for the activities (Whalesharks, Kawasan…) in this part of the island. First of all, people working here are super friendly and helpful! They made our stay very cofmortable and easy. Organized tours for Whalesharks, Kawasan, Sumillion Island… Resort is very nicely decorated and maintained so you can also spend they day here enjoying the pool, sea view, your room terrace. Rooms are very clean and new/modern. Bathroom as well. We had the room with the balcony. Breakfast is also very nice and you can chose between several options.

This hotel is a gem! The bed was incredibly comfortable, and the staff went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable. However, we did encounter an issue with the hot water in the shower, but it seemed to be a problem throughout the entire area. Despite that, I would still highly recommend this hotel for its cozy atmosphere and excellent service.

There was nothing to dislike here and we wish to comeback some day.

The small resort is in a calm area directly at the beach with palm trees all around. It has a really relaxing atmosphere and it’s great to spend time there! The staff there are amazing and it feels like a family. Lory prepared many delicious meals for us and was always open to our wishes. The dive instructor and dive masters there are so friendly and knowledgeable. Everybody can learn something from them. All the staff are awesome, they are always helpful and have a good eye for details. The rooms are really comfy and in general you feel very safe. We did our open water license there and we couldn’t have wished for a better experience. All dive spots are naturally beautiful with a wide variety of sea life to see. Sonny, Ape, Jacob, Lloyd and Ben All these people are amazing! It's highly visible they are committed to make each and everyone's stay a pleasure. Before coming here, my gf was completely scared of snorkelling or scuba. She ended up doing them both, including diving with the Whalesharks ;) It's remarkable the patience and professionalism those folks can show off. Big thanks to "Ape" which is like a mother, asking each and everyone about their breakfast preferences (type of food + time of serving) one evening in advance. Definitely this is a place to come back ;)

Very welcoming staff, excellent team of divers. The location is remote, but that’s diving resort. From other side it’s 10 mins from the port. The rooms are spacious and done with attention to details and with good quality materials, the whole property is new. You can take a puddle board for free as well as snorkelling items. The team can organise canyoneering and sardine run trip as well . Overall very good stay and divings, absolutely recommended.

Making reservations from the USA for a resort half way around the world is a scary experience but I went off the booking score. It turned out that was a good decision as this was a small but lovely place to stay. The staff is very friendly and we did both scuba diving and snorkeling of the Whale Sharks which is a quick 15 minute drive. Their staff drove us around to restaurants and the various dives for no charge. One of the other tenants was making their first dives noted that at another resort they felt pressured and pushed by the diving instructor versus this staff took their time and made sure they felt comfortable under water. A great place to visit whether you're a seasoned diver or first attempt. Cheers!

Ben is a very good host. He is really doing all that his guests feel good and can enjoy the vacation. Moreover he is an excellent scuba diving instructor. The location itself is very nice and if you want to relax far away from the mass tourism, then it’s the right place to be. Moreover it’s not far away from the port where you can go to Siquijor or Bohol. So it’s perfect for people who want to do island hopping;) as well you can rent a motorbike and drive by yourself to the Kawasan Falls which are absolutely a recommendation to do!!

There was one time when the power went out and the air conditioning cut out but we were about to leave so it was not a problem, really. The ocean where the SSBR dive center was located was covered in seaweed (which is not the fault of the hotel) so it was hard to swim in but we did paddle boarding and snorkel (it cleared once you went a little deeper).

Breakfast was delicious! What really made this place excellent is the staff. Everyone was so nice and kind and laid back. They let you borrow paddleboards, snorkel gear, etc. all for free. There is a pool and ocean right in the back area. They have drivers to take you places but we really didn't need to go anywhere. We just came from being in a nice resort in Manila and we found that SBR Dive Center was so much more relaxing and fun. Great for families who just want to enjoy the Philippine waters and weather without breaking the bank. We are coming back to this place to get scuba certified!

If I had to bring out something here, then the room was maybe a bit small and there was a limited number of wall electricity outlets, but otherwise comfortable.

Very good and private premises with access to beach. Excellent breakfast. Superb hospitality and very helpful staff made our stay as comfortable as possible. Good AC and fan in the room and warm water available.

Loved everything. Communication with Eric and Ben have been exceptional. Very friendly, informative and made all possible to accommodate us. Location was a bit remote yet with their help all visits and divings were possible, so we had a very good, relaxing and adventurous time. Room was amazing! Huge and confortable bed. It also has the duvet to keep warm with a chilled AC room. Bathroom had hot water as well which was great on rainy days. All facilities were clean and impeccable. Recommend the food..delicious! We loved the stay at SouthSeas. Excellent value for money 😁 as well! Thank you all for making it a wonderful stay!
