Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United StatesThe food, sadly the food options at the Hilton aren't great, especially the lack of healthy options for vegetarians or vegans. The food is also over priced and the crepe restaurant is underwhelming for such a beautiful location. Given how many people around the world are vegetarian/ plant based and want healthy options the Hilton needs to do better here. The only vegetarian option for my kiddo was pizza which he can't eat every meal for a week and lacks any nutritional value for him.
Loved the free snorkeling, paddle boarding and kayak use, with a kiddo this made a big difference. The staff are wonderful, the resorts kitties are adorable and so friendly, the spa treatment was incredible.

United KingdomThe Polynesian dance/dinner was nothing special for the price. Grounds and the beach are quite small.
We booked a garden villa with a pool. We stayed in room 50, just of the beach. The plunge pool is private but the front decking can be seen by people walking past as there is only a hedge separating it from the path. The drinks in the mini bar are complimentary which is a nice touch. The stand out feature at the hotel if the hotel reef if you enjoy snorkelling. Just wade into the perfectly calm sea of the hotel beach and you will see plenty of fish, in fact more than we saw than in the snorkelling boat tour we did.

Hong KongMaybe the activities (diving, jet ski,,,) could be cheaper. Also guests are also a little bit "calm"...no craziness during the evening happy hour...
The bungalow above the water is simply amazing: direct access to the amazing lagoon, glass flooring to see the water under the room, sharks in the lagoon during the night, swimming pool, nice staff, breakfast in the room balcony above the water, bottle of champaign, free drinks in the fridge... Also easy access to the free carpark

United KingdomThe only thing we didn’t like was the food. We paid for bed and breakfast, and that meal was pretty good, but we had lunch twice and dinner once in the outside restaurant near the beach and the food really wasn’t that great. And it was expensive for the quality. It just lacked flavour. We were going to have the themed dinner buffet but decided to just watch the show (which was great btw!) without eating as we didn’t want to spend any more money on what could’ve been a sub par meal, so we can’t comment on the buffet dinner as we didn’t try it. Generally I’d recommend going out of the hotel for dinner etc or exploring local places if you have a car.
We loved the hotel’s private beach area and the whole place is really beautiful. We stayed in a villa with a private plunge pool, which was lovely, clean and spacious. The turn down service and the fact that the mini bar is topped up for free each day was a nice touch. My husband and I had a massage each at the hotel spa and they were amazing! The masseurs were really lovely too.

CanadaThe rooms could use a refresh. Obviously the prices are high for food and drink, but it's expected at a chain like the Hilton
The location was superb, close to little roulottes and authentic shops. We had one of the premium overwater bungalows at the end of the docks, so a bit of a walk but the privacy was appreciated. We appreciated the bottle of champagne and macarons as diamond members. The snorkeling during our entire stay was great, we are experienced divers and brought our own gear. We saw spotted rays, black tip reef sharks, and all sorts of coral fish. The resort facilities and staff were excellent, we found the breakfast selection was great, especially the egg station. We had body treatments at the spa which melted the stress in our muscles away. The staff made us feel welcome, and we tipped the ones who were extra helpful, which led to some unfortunate inter-staff shenanigans. We stayed at the hotel for a 2 night romantic getaway with sun & sea, after a busy 2 weeks with friends on the islands. Our overwater bungalow was a great base for relaxation.

New ZealandThe beach bungalow was dreadful because of all the seaweed and rubbish and it smelt. Apparently this happens each July and they “don’t usually have those bungalows available in this month”. They did their best to reaccommodate us but this meant three shifts to new bungalows in 4 days. Lots of repacking and waiting around for hours meaning we felt low priority. This interrupted our rest and relaxation. The food was poor. It felt dated.
Swimming in the ocean. Nice pool. Great sunsets

New ZealandThe resort was tired. It needs some updating and maintenance, lots of peeling paint, cracked wood and worn out furniture. Two of the restaurants seemed understaffed and the breakfast didnt take advantage of the polynesian and french influences, serving almost solely american options. Overall it lacked the heart we've seen from other French Polynesian resorts.
The staff were friendly and attentive. The resort had a beautiful beach and snorkling area. There were sharks and rays as well as many beautiful fish species swimming around that you could clearly see from the platforms. The crepery restaurant was the highlight with yummy food and a view over the water. The bathroom was beautiful and the water pressure from the shower was amazing.

United StatesI know. The price of an overwater bungalow for 1 night is more than some peoples monthly mortgage. More than monthly rent. But my goodness! Staying in one feels like a dream. You don’t want to leave. Sitting on your dock. Watching all the sharks and stingrays and various tropical fish swim by was the most incredible hotel experience I ever had! It was worth every penny! I would do it again in a heartbeat! The hotel itself is in one of the best locations on the island.

New ZealandThe dinner meals were not very exciting. The rooms were older and could have done with a little extra maintenance when you are paying over $1000.00 a night. Saying that we thoroughly enjoyed our time there.
The staff were very friendly. The beach was beautiful, clear water with lots of tropical fish to view. The facilities were plentiful, lots of sun loungers, paddle boards and kayaks to use. Snorkelling right off the beach. We had the best villa, No. 48 right on the beach with a plunge pool that we used daily. Plenty of daily water was left each day for our use. Breakfast was amazing. Happy hour betwen 5 -6 pm each day was great too. Beautiful gardens.

RomaniaUnfortunately, both the days we stayed the weather was really bad and the rain was pouring. In this scenario many of the activities and even the bars and grills are closed and you don't really have an alternative. I am not saying it is their fault for this, this is just our experience and just wanted to point out that you can't benefit from most of what this complex is offering if the weather is bad.
The breakfast was very diverse and really tasty. The whole complex looks amazing, and there is a lot of space you can walk around and many activities that you can do. Definitely one of the best stays in French Polynesia.
