Difficulty accessing and finding parking People on the street late night on weekend felt mildly unsafe when trying to find entrance

The alarm clock was missing. I also do not like the mirror wardrobe directly facing the bed.

I was pleasently surprised there is a pillow menu, as I find most hotel pillows too soft. I chose the memory foam pillow and had a good night sleep. I love the scent of the Marihi Aotearoa body wash, and lotion. Also I was given a room at 8am which was very much appreciated after a 24 hour journey from London

It wasn’t as clean or as spacious as I anticipated. The lack of lighting in the rooms was quite dim, making some things challenging.

The staffs work in restaurant. They are not so friendly and not smiling at all. No one observed when my coffee needed to refill. Waiting too long to get my breakfast served.

It’s located in the central city . Very convenient for restaurants and shops.

Our bag was damaged and the wheel has now fallen off. While this was very upsetting the staff handled the situation very well. The main room lacked good lighting - there was smaller mood lighting but more light would be better.

Location, value for money, large bathroom and comfy bed were positives.

Frosted over windows in room so actually can’t see outside at all. “King bed” - two singles pushed together. Lifts so old one was broken down our entire stay so we used the stairs every time we came and went.

Art deco feel right in the heart of the city. Accessible to train station and shops. Cute furniture and spacious, clean room

I’ve stayed this hotel about 40 days a year every second weekend for the past two years and think the hotel needs to get new elevators as the ones there are breaking down all the time and a super slow On a good side I get a lot of exercise run up the stairs And every thing else there is great

There was very little storage in the room for clothing. Even a couple of coat hooks or a drawer would have been useful.

Location was a bit average. Hotel is located on Queen Street and the area is pretty horrible (not Fable's fault - more of an issue with the city itself). We arrived late at night and got dropped off a bit further down the road and had to walk past drunk people, huge amounts of homeless and a group of people sniffing lines off the back of a parked car. Once inside, the hotel itself is beautiful.

The rooms are beautiful. Mine was spacious with a king bed but my colleague had a smaller room. Bathroom was lovely, beautiful extras and touches, lots of thought has gone into the design. Really good value. Great breakfast and staff.

Bed was quite small (after paying a little extra for an upgrade, thought it might be a little bigger - King) and a bit soft!

Overall, beautiful stay at Fable M Gallery. We didn't get to experience much of the hotel other than the room as it was just one night, but the rooms are nice - a little bit on the smaller side but still has everything you need.

Room was very spacious, clean and comfortable. All of the staff were very friendly - especially when I was having trouble getting the TV to work (my own fault as I was pushing the wrong buttons...). A lovely stay with my best friend for a girls night in the city, and we would love to stay here again for our next one.
