What a wonderful place - private, spacious and so lovely. Hosts thought of everything and it was such a beautiful area to stay the night. Loved it and would recommend to anyone passing through the North Island.

Such a beautiful piece of history and so well maintained. Spotlessly clean and tastefully decorated with lovely period furniture and all the modern amenities to make it comfortable and practical too. Couldn’t recommend more so lucky it was available at short notice for us!

If you are looking for peace and quiet and comfort and charm…..then look no further…..this place is absolutely lovely. As an added bonus, homemade bread and fresh eggs are given as well. Impossible to fault. This was our second stay here and I have no doubt at all that we will stay again. 10/10 😊

I had to watch the overhanging branches on the driveway, my small truck has high sides. Maybe a sign could be placed at the start of the street, easier for first timers to find.

Home made bread and eggs great. A very well appointed set up with all the comforts of home. Being able to do your own laundry is a benefit for the traveler's staying longer than I did.

What's not to like!!

Beautiful location and host Steve was friendly and helpful. Freshly cooked 🍞 bread was very nice and there were farm eggs in the fridge. Waking up to birdsong and views across farmland was amazing... we'll be back!

Great fresh bread made for us, fresh farm eggs in the fridge and a peaceful location just a short drive into town if you needed to head out for anything. Lots of country golf courses, walks and things to do nearby but equally a great place to stop and let time pass by. Great sense of past history and furniture in keeping with the heritage of the building

Nothing really...would have been even more lively with a woodburnerbut the heat pumps are efficient, with one inlounge / kitchen and another fore the bedroom.

The school, house is a trip into the past full of local history and made comfortable for visitors with a new bathroom, comfy beds and heat pumps. Steve met us upon arrival, had made a fresh loaf of bread and left farm eggs and milk etc for ourcovenience. It is. SHORT DRIVE FROM SHOPS ETC BUT AN EASY ONE DON'T LET THIS DETER YOU FROM STAYING!

The shower hose had a kink in it which meant you had to hold it in your hand to get the water flowing properly.

Beautiful, quiet location in the countryside but so close to Te Awamutu. Lots of space, comfy beds and the extras of bread, eggs and milk was greatly enjoyed. Loved staying in a 'piece of history!'
