Not enough dining chairs. House sleeps 8. We had 6 people staying. Only 5 dining chairs available. (was some outdoor bench seats, but not helpful when raining). Upstairs shower had low water pressure but the downstairs shower was better.

Location and views were amazing. Very close to Waitangi Treaty grounds and the local supermarket a few minutes drive away. Great laundry facilities and living area. Overall was a great place to stay. Easy lock box for key when arriving.

Very dated, perhaps 1960s bathrooms. No curtains on high windows in 2 upstairs bedrooms. We had to use blankets to block the early summer sun. We couldn’t get hot water from upstairs shower, so used downstairs instead.

Lots of space. Relatively quiet location. Huge main bed made from 2 x doubles push together.

We had very difficulty in the morning during showers as there is not much hot water plus no pressure of water, it was coming very slow. No one from reception bothered to ask that is everything ok or do we need anything?

It was clean and tidy condition, easy to excess.

We have stayed at the beach house a number of times now and it is always a comfortable and homely stay. We enjoy this house as it is very spacious for the whole family/friends to enjoy. Close to the beach and countdown. The view is delightful, always nice to wake to. This house caters to a group of people (Families, group of friends, colleagues).

The house is directly over the road from the Bay of Islands, and we had wonderful views from the dining room as we had our breakfast. The house was very spacious and clean, including the kitchen, which is nicely equipped.

Absolutely nothing - hosts cancelled on us less than 25 hours from checking - reason given was maintenance issues. We drove past the property that evening to find car there and well and truely occupied. When I rang to question them they said they needed it for family reasons - they lied to us about their reason for cancelling on us at such short notice. We paid for a 4 brm 2bthrm property and they offered to relocate us to a 2brm 1 bthrm property at the same price - totally unacceptable-booking.com should not represent this property

1. Horrible Hygiene Standards and very dirty - Used soap left in the bathroom, dirty dishes and pots and pans, sticky floor, dust on the bedside tables and furniture and dusty dishrack. 2. Infestation - Heaps of spiders and spider webs everywhere (by our bed, in bathroom, closets, kitchen everywhere) dead bugs in various places. I had a few bug bites as well 3. Damp and smelly house - You smell the damp as soon as you enter the house. Specially the ground floor is so damp it’s really bad for an asthmatic person. 4. Absolutely Dated - This house is soooo dated it shouldn’t even be on market as it’s really unhealthy to live there. The carpets and floor are so dated they’re beyond clean now. Carpets feel like they are stuck on older carpets. The couch looks so old and dirty you don’t even want to sit on it. 5. Lack of courtesy post stay - when I called their Ops manager to give a feedback about our really bad experience and ask for a refund as I was not willing to pay this much money for not even basic hygiene standards I was told “All the properties have bugs and you could have been bitten anywhere, I can’t refund you just for a few spiders and not even a single apology for the nightmare of an experience we had. Please bear in mind while you read this, I am not an entitled customer or someone making a small thing into something big. This was my fourth time staying in one of their properties. I have stayed in their 2 bedroom units 3 times before and had great experience the first time, good experience the second time, bad experience the third time which I passed off as one off and only brought it to their attention without leaving a bad review. I believe in helping the business get better by leaving constructive feedback rather than hateful criticism. However this time it was simply unacceptable as it absolutely ruined our experience and we were just shoed away without being heard by their manager.
