The exterior of the building needs maintenance. Painting, maintenance on decks and gardens.

The view, the room and the restaurant were great! The only thing that needs attention is the exterior of the building. It is clear that needs painting and maintenance.

This is a great hotel, right across from the lake, so it has lovely views from the bar and most of the rooms. We had a really spacious room, with a deck and lake views. The bar/restaurant was good. Lovely food and not too pricey. Good service, even though they were really busy the night we were there.

The hotel needs refreshing. The rooms look better in the photos than in real life, and the windows were leaking during the rain.

It was a very quiet Sunday evening with few people around and I don't think the normal kitchen staff were on. I found the food was typical pub food but I had fish and chips and the fish while in a nice batter had no flavor.

Very clean rooms, bed ok but the view from our room was amazing. There is a very good cafe grocery store about 3 minutes walk up the road with good food and coffee. It open at 7.30 but a cooked breakfast was after 8.00 am. The Hotel does not do breakfast and directed us to this Cafe.

The bathroom was a wet room so during a shower even if curtain pulled the floor got very wet and messy

The hotel room was very clean and spacious with a comfortable couch. It was a perfect location for the glacier activity we were doing. With a good heater.

The deck was due for some maintenance. One of the restaurant staff was less than helpful when we asked for component of a dish to be swapped due to dietary requirements. Instead we we told we'd have to order it as an additional dish. No issues doing this elsewhere.

issues with power when we stayed - fridge and all outlets went out overnight (maybe just our room?), also porch could use touchup- exposed nails, etc on the boards.

The accommodation is a bit old and the facilities are not good compared to the beautiful lake view. We booked a semi-double-level family accommodation but it did not come true. They said it was leaky and they could not give us a room instead and gave us two rooms. The distance to Wanaka is about 20 minutes.

It was nice to be by the lake and see the beautiful lake. The restaurant food was also good.

Restaurant wasn't open but glad the fish and chips shop was and it was only a 5min walk. We booked 2x rooms, 1 was renovated and 1 was older but that's alright too as it was a pleasant stay!

The view was stunning especially to wake upto. The bed was super comfortable as well and friendly staff.

The facilities were 'tired'. The motel needs a good handyman. On arrival the bathroom door was locked (the door self locks apparently) the door to the balcony required a lot of 'persuasion' to open. The deck could have been nice but was in desperate need of repair and repainting.

The view was sensational. The rooms were clean, the staff were friendly and helpful. The facilities, while 'tired' were adequate. The restaurant was very good.
