Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

New ZealandHave stayed a few times, but this time the room had a slight stale smell. It's cheap enough so not bothered.
Great cheap accommodation with private room. Good if your out and about most of the time. Excellent city location close to K road and Queen st. One apartment with 3 seperate locked rooms sharing shower toilet and kitchen. I've never used the kitchen. Great if the other two rooms have quiet tenants. Most of the time I've been there the other rooms are quiet or empty. If lucky you might get a higher floor which have awesome city views.

United KingdomA bit more cleaning in the general areas. They are all flats with 3 rooms. If you had a noisy neighbour , the walls are paper thin. For what I paid I didn't expect more really, it was central and served it's purpose.

SlovakiaThe deposit of $200 was a surprise, and it was returned to my card in a very odd way, firstly they sent me €116 twice (as an accident I guess) and then deducted €120 - they never responded to my message about these transactions. Moreover, it was very rainy and windy those days there and in the middle of the night we woke up to water drops falling to the middle of our bed, after mentioning it to the staff that just said it's normal. It was economic option of our stay but definitely not the most comfy or friendly.
A small grocery shop just next to the accommodation.

It's a bit more run down than the pix but if you're 2ppl in a room, it is basically $30ea so it's not bad. Would stay again if we were seeing a show at the powerstation again. With only 2 other rooms per apartment we didn't run into facility sharing issues
