The living room furniture is a bit old but other than that it was a comfortable stay.

The location is great and the beds are huge, clean and comfy.

The bathroom sink didn't have a drain. Very off putting while brushing my teeth. The in room phone also did not work. The bedroom TV was malfunctioning, and the screen was over bright. After spending 30min playing with the display settings, I managed to make it usable. But it was very frustrating. The balcony in the photos was misleading. The balcony in the room was not wide enough to stand in. Very compact. Don't think it should be included in the description as it not accessible safely.

You have to search for the dinnerware, pots, chopping board etc. Would be better to have these in the cupboards in the kitchenette

Unfortunately Albert Street is going through massive road works. Though the location is great, if you have mobilty issues, like my mother does (she can barely walk) it makes getting picked up by uber or a taxi super hard. It would have been good to know that the road was being carved up and many GPS maps don't allow any transport in to pick up passengers. It really effected our enjoyment of the trip. We wouldn't have booked here if we knew the road right outside was closed, or made access difficult. Room was $150 cheaper if I booked it the day before we arrived, but it was non refundable so could t change our normal booking. Room was worn. Holes in carpet, holes in walls etc and they ask for a $300 hold on your card which they hold for 7 days. HOWEVER their terms and conditions upon checking in stated that if they were not using a credit card to pay for the accomodation a hold wouldn't be taken. I turn up to pay cash and they STILL asked for a card for the hold. It's a ridiculous amount of money to ask someone to hold esp in this current cost of living crisis. We were lucky my mother had her credit card otherwise we won't be allowed to stay. Even though the room was non refundable. The hold also stated (on their paperwork) it was for smoking in the room if detected, however when we left, the receptionist said they will check the room for any damage. Upon asking why damage as the paperwork states smoking, she couldnt tell us, so their communication is slacking and contradictory. My mother is a smoker so she was worried they would ping her for smoking if they smelt smoke in the room via her clothes etc she never smoked in the room. TAKE PHOTOS OF ALL THE DAMAGE I YOUR ROOM THE DAY YOU ARRIVE. Just to be safe!

Location was good besides the road works. The massage place below the hotel did a great cheap massage. I liked the online check-in option. Coffee shop next door does a good coffee. Two rooms, with a small lounge, kitchenette and washing machine. It was comfy enough.

Noisy roadworks out front. Not at all the property’s fault though of course. And hopefully it’ll all be done soon.

Surprisingly large living area for such an affordable price, really good set up with two bedrooms and two bathrooms, living area and kitchen. Worked really well for our girls weekend away. Friendly staff.

While all the facilities were provided, some didn't work i.e. the safe wouldn't work (battery problem?) and the coffee machine didn't work. The sofa bed was also rather uncomfortable and could have done with some further covering over the springs. The roadworks outside made access difficult. Luckily, our room was above the noise.

We were on the top floor and the view was fantastic! It was a magic atmosphere to wake up to. Lovely helpful staff - special thanks to the young lady who helped me when my glasses broke!

We were charged a $300 deposit (which was refunded) this was not disclosed to us prior to booking and was to cover any incidents of smoking. We are non-smokers so this was fine but I did think this was a substantial deposit compared to other higher end places I've stayed in Auckland

Ended up with a double room. Everything was clean albeit a little shabby around the edges and dated.

The sofa bed which could have been more comfortable. The springs were very close to the surface of the mattress even after laying a blanket over the top.
