Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

BrazilThe windowless room, leaky bathroom and peeling ceiling are negative points. Access through the bar and the lack of an elevator must be considered for those arriving with a lot of luggage.
This location is ideal for tourists seeking centrality, situated right across from the airport bus stop and sky center. The beds are notably comfortable and clean, ensuring a pleasant stay. Additionally, the room amenities include tea and coffee bags. Considering its prime central location, the pricing is fair. The staff was very helpful and kind when storing our luggage after checkout.

AustraliaMy room was in the interior of the building so no window which was disappointing, and not as depicted in the photos.
The barman was also the receptionist, he was very friendly and most helpful - carried my bag up the stairs which was much appreciated.

AustraliaRoom was very tired. No lift but the gentleman very kindly carried my bag upstairs and back down again for me. Couldn't fault the service.
Location was great, price was excellent - about half the price we paid when we had stayed in Auckland the previous week, however you get what you pay for. The accommodation was tired and the noise drifted up from the street, but the management were excellent and extremely friendly and helpful. Great, affordable option to catch the bus to the airport the next day (right across the road from the bus station).

AustraliaThe room had no natural light or air. Due for a facelift.the spa bath in the room would have been better with a shower that you didn’t need to climb into and a smaller bath if it could fit
Although the hotel was in the historic era it was comfortable and clean

Great location. Got a room where I could see the sky tower from my window. Had quiet nights and noisy nights there. The noisy night, everyone the city was out for party. Before I booked I read reviews. For me was this place ok. Had all I needed in my room. Small fridge, Microwave, plates, cups… From airport with buss the bus stop is across the street. There you can get back to airport as well. One way was 10€ as I remember. for sightseeing tours the busses will pick up from there, but be ready at least 10minutes before time. The guide arrive earlier, because of the traffic.

I liked how the staff were so friendly and the location was really close to the intercity bus stop. Pretty close to the sky tower too. Having our own shower was so good as well because we didn’t have to get out of our rooms.

United StatesAlthough I had a very enjoyable stay, a few minor things to note: the noise from the beeping traffic light and cars outside can reach the room. The hotel is also located on top of a bar, so on busy nights that generates some additional noise. The customer service is good but not excellent (your room is not cleaned/replenished every day and when you run out of things, you will sometimes have to request it from the staff).
I had a great stay at Albion hotel. The biggest advantage is the hotel's prime location at the heart of downtown Auckland. You are perfectly positioned to walk around Queen St., the Central Business District, and to the downtown ferry terminal! The room was cozy, clean, and the bed was very comfortable. The value for money you are getting is excellent with this hotel. I would definitely stay there again!

New ZealandThe hotel is much more old and tired than it appears in the photos. We were given the wrong rooms and had to wait to get that fixed. The bar staff also don't seem to have any clue about the hotel side of things, despite this being where we had to check in. There was no toilet paper in my room when I arrived, and when I went down to ask for some the girl looked at me like I was crazy, and then passed me a commercial size roll, even though I said it was for my room, not the bar toilet. It was bizarre. My shower door was also broken and didn't stay closed. Not a deal breaker, just annoying.
The bed was very comfy, and the shower pressure was amazing.

AustraliaThe stairs are challenging for old people. The manager carried our bags up when we arrived. Very heroic. It is a noisy area but that is not the hotel's fault. We had no fridge for the first night but got one the following day.
The location is great- right next to the bus to and from the airport. And close to the Sky Tower, places to eat and within walk to the Art Gallery and the botanic garden and museum.

United Kingdom1) Hotel facilities need to upgrade; 2) window has no sound proof, Road construction worked outside at the weekend, very noisy; 3) bedroom is very small. Initially I was given a room without window, which was never mentioned in booking .com website, not the room picture as in my booking. Since I booked 3 nights, I asked if they can change. The staff was very helpful and moved me to a room with windows.
1) Great location, in city centre, good for shopping, food, events. Just few minutes walk to main coach stops, for both Intercity (inland travelling) and SkyExpress (to the airport); 2) Friendly staffs.
