AustraliaInsistence on a 12.00 check out when they were not busy. They did look after my bags but I had a long day without a room or place to rest.
I liked its location - on the edge of Thamel not far from a main road. Everything in the room worked as it should have. There was a very small balcony. I had stayed there before an it remained in line with previous expectations. The bed was comfortable and I could leave my things there while I went trekking.

The staff was nice, they made sure everything was okay and gave me some tips around the area. They were really professional and extremely nice to me! The room was pleasant, the bed was relaxing, and there is a small rooftop where you can chill at night (though Kathmandu is really dusty so it might bother some people).

NetherlandsPickup and drop off at the airport with flower garments and shawl. Hotel is located in thamel just a stones throw away from a busy shopping street with good restaurants and trinket shops. The staff are resourceful and flexible and can plan and arrange excursions. All in all good people + friendly staff

SwedenThe rooms are old, so they need maintenance. It is understandable that during the Covid-19 period, they are going through a difficult time. I believe the situation will improve and the rooms will be better taken care of. But the deficiencies were well taken care of by the awesome staff at this Hotel.
The location of the hotel is fantastic, you can move around Thamel very easily. All the food options (local, Japanese, western, Chinese etc.). For this stay, I booked for an apartment, however, there was some issue with the water leakage to the room. Therefore, we had to go for another room (not apartment) but the hotel staff were absolutely amazing in taking care of our needs. Also, there was some problem with the water heating, but they shifted our room to provide with the best service (thanks to Dilip who was taking care of the room service). Special thanks to Nick (our contact person for the booking at Alpine Hotel) who helped with booking the tourist bus tickets to travel around and also, rental car. Most importantly, Nick helped with booking the RT-PCR test before leaving. Will come back for the staffs and their helpfulness.

IndiaThe hotel had a cheap look and the approach to the hotel was narrow, clumsy and dusty. The hotel had no lift and my room was at the 2nd floor. I booked the room with breakfast and dinner. The Breakfast was very basic and the dinner was limited to Nepali veg thali with very basic food.
Location was in Thamel which was the center of the city. All attraction was closed by. Taxis were easily available. Luxury Tourist coach to Pokhara was 5 minutes walk from the hotel.

BangladeshThis property doesn't have any lift, i have to downgrade my room, its not recommended for senior citizen, sick or the people with kids. Bathroom light should be change, its nearly dark and visibility is very low.
Very good location, staffs are very nice and helpfull, room is nice and clean, can commute easy, everything is just in a walking distance. Staff were so nice that they make breakfast for us at 6.00am.

NetherlandsThe wifi does not work well. Some rooms face the street and make it impossible to get to sleep before 5 a.m. (unless you can handle the noise). The bedsheets do not seem very clean. I guess if you are in Thamel to party, it is the perfect place to stay. Aside from that they suddenly charged us more for the laundry without telling us in advance. The explanation for this was lacking.
The hotel is right in the middle of Thamel. The showers are fine and the bed is quite comfortable. The staff is ok.

FranceFirst room given facing a building without real balcony and noisy. But it has been solved by changing room. Financially, my Visa card from Booking.com was charged of the full amount without informing me. When i offered to pay later, they said casually that it was done. I got very angry, as this card is just a security for the hotel. I planned to pay with my Nepali visa. All this has been sorted with the accountancy who apologized for their mistake, appearently not aware. I still will go again to meet the friendly staff!😊

I felt like I am at my home, the way they treat me I am like a family member of them, and the location is perfect. When we went out of the hotel, we can see so many restaurants, shops, and marts. The hotel is situated in a quiet area, owners are very friendly and helpful whatever you want to do in Nepal they are always ready to help, ready to organize. I felt so secure during my visit to Nepal. I would like to thank the Alpine team I will be back soon.
