We loved it but it would be really tough for someone with even minor mobility issues- very steep stairs and low ceilings- not a problem for us though.

It was so comfy, cozy and the views were incredible!!! Like completely incredible! Loved location, coziness, historical presence and closeness to Anita’s sjømat (Seafood).

Really lovely and cosy Rorbu (we had the one bedroom appartement). The view is unbeatable and you can spend a day on the balcony if it rains and inside with the warm heaters on if it‘s rainy and cold! We even saw the Northern Lights directly from our balcony (end of August). We made our own breakfast (there is a coop neaeby) and had most of our meals at Anita‘s! Definitely recommend!!!

Great location & the fact that it was one of the few original fishing cabins (as opposed to the newly-constructed replicas that are in most parts of the Lofoten Islands).

This was the best place I've ever stayed and easily the best accommodation we had in Norway. The views from the back deck are unbelievable. We were there during midnight sun and the lighting conditions in the evening are magical.

Everything is perfect, from the location to the view from balcony and room and the deco. The apartment is spacious and very clean. The balcony is right over water with gorgeous view. I love the decor, the whale gun in front and old fishing boat hung at ceiling.

Bedroom up a very narrow and steep staircase. Like others mentioned before us, we kept our clothes/suitcases downstairs as a result. Bed is in a room with pitched ceilings, lots of ducking. Two doors to walk through upstairs to get to the bed have door frames around 5 feet, so even more ducking. No blackout curtains in bedroom meant we slept with eye masks (and earplugs for those seagulls that cry all night long!). These issues are all minor though and are far outweighed by the amazing the location, beauty, and experience of staying in one of these homes!

We stayed in the little white stand alone cottage. It had a beautiful view and private deck. This cottage and the other apartments had a driveway entrance that was a bit more hidden than all the other Rorbuers in the area so that meant a few less tourists just wandering around your home (and the tourists are all over the place in Reine!). This cottage has a washing machine which was a bonus. Good hot water and water pressure in the shower. Kitchen stocked with enough cookery to cook all meals. House felt spacious for the two of us. Was quite warm in summer so had windows open at night and that worked to keep cool (although you hear the seagulls all night long!). Great experience and location.

Microwave and kettle did not have permanent power connection so a temporary extension cord is provided. Can be improved.

Great property in front of the fjords. Excellent sea facing views with a place outside to sit and enjoy. Very spacious and good kitchen facilities. Bedroom and bathroom are very spacious and practical. Parking right outside the property.

Very basic cabin which might benefit from some renovation. They would be able to ask much more for a stay if they put more effort into the cabin maintenance.

Location! We had three different accommodation in Lofoten two days each. Two others were much more modern, comfy and luxurious but when you come from another part of the word to see the beauty of Lofoten, location really plays a huge role. I couldn’t sleep during midnight sun nights because I couldn’t stay away from the window and the balcony. Wow! If I return, I will definitely choose this place again.

Nothing we didn’t like but some darker curtains in bedroom could enhance experience when 23 hrs of daylight…not that it bothered us.

Everything! What a location looking right up the fjord! Yes, you have to bend over in the loft bedroom but this just adds to the experience- a real Rorbuer.Drnks on our lovely sunny deck each afternoon looking st the beautiful scenery, Easy oarking, convenient to restaurants, quiet, private, had everything we needed, great atmosphere- our favourite accommodation in Norway after 6 weeks of travelling. Spectacular outlook, washing machine, warm…what more could you want- we loved it.

The only downside I must point out is that there is no way to cover the window in the bathroom. In such a room, I would really appreciate having a curtain.

Beautiful cottage, perfectly equipped and in a lovely location. We really enjoyed our time here and hope to return with better weather. Parking right at the accommodation, spacious bathroom, very comfortable bed.

On one night they had to turn off the water, which they warned us about in advance. However, it would have been nice if they offered a compensation, a voucher or similar for the inconvenience.

We loved this accomodation and its amazing view at the sea and mountains. It is simple but very cozy and has everything you need. Despite being next to the E10 road it was surprisingly quiet. The check-in was very easy and smooth.
